  1. the answerers are right, if we want to save this world, we must start saving it by changing ourselves.

  2. Money spent on going to mars does not do much to prevent saving earth. It is a mere pittance compared to military spending, spending on imported oil.

Military spending and importing oil may do more to trash earth too. But private expenditures on daily waste may also be far more significant.

Deal with all misuse of resources, or when you persuade government to stop one item of waste, you find you have accomplished nothing.

  3. type "NASA Budget" into search and see just how much we spend on NASA....the answer is .6 % of the US budget.....thats just barely one half of one percent!

and that $ buys weather satellites to measure global warming and predict hurricanes and study crop loss and guess where solar panels came from?

American consumes spent $35 BILLION on video games last year.....how about eliminating them and putting that money into ecological programs?

  4. Spending money on saving the earth isn't going to help.  It requires a lifestyle change on the part of the whole planet.  Throwing money at everything is how we arrived at this problem.

Our best hope to save the environment is stop looking for someone to blame and take action.  If we don't, we will need the ability to move on.
