  1. None of the ones you have listed but there are a few that hold true.  When chimney smoke goes straight to the ground then a show storm is coming.  Also, if there is a ring around the moon count the stars in it and that is how many days it will be before the weather turns.

Also, when there is going to be a death you will recieve a sending.  Whether it will be a strange knock at the door in the middle of the night that now one else can here or something like that.

  2. I don't do superstitions at all.

Though I remain a firm believer in jumping clear of falling pianos and getting others to hold the nail while I use the hammer :oP

  3. no

  4. I dont really speak about my important plans until they are well under way coz i always think it jinxes them.  Like the time i was raving about going to Italy 2 months before i was going and got really ill a week before going.  Had to cancel it :(

  5. yes like everything comes in three,s and an itchy palm means that there is money due to you, especially your left palm.

  6. It's a load of cockrot.

  7. yes I do

If a bird flies in your home, someone close like a family member will die

That happened to my Aunt twice, and both times someone died!

  8. Red sky at night Shepherd's delight

Red sky at morning Shepherd's warning!

  9. I don't know if it counts for superstition, but i cannot let wardrobes/closets open ... especially in the night.

Even if the wardrobe is a little little little bit open, i will go to close it !

Tell me crazy ... but it's one of my problems haha.

  10. Some people think if they close their eyes, fold their hands and bow their heads, they can talk to some invisible authority figure in the sky. And if they are good, hate g*y people and vote Republican, they will some day float up into the sky to party with Him. There will be snacks and drinks, and you can watch the world burn on the big screen TVs.

    Me, not so much.

  11. magpies:

1 for sorrow, 2 for mirth, 3 for a wedding, 4 for a birth, 5 for silver, 6 for gold, 7 a secret never to be told.

when ever i see a magpie by itself i always say good morning/afternoon mr magpie so i dont get bad luck. i got it from my nans. she always did it.

  12. Yes, I believe in superstitions.

There are quite a few that I can name.

    Good Luck:

If a frog enters your house then it brings good luck. (my cat's help me with that superstition a lot)

    A rabbit's foot

    A four-leaf clover.

    Bad Luck:

If you see an owl during sunlight then its bad luck.

If a dove is circling above then it's a sign for death.

It's unlucky to sit cross-legged while playing cards.

It's unlucky to sit near an open window during winter.

If you hear foot steps behind you on halloween, don't look back. It may be the dead following you. Turning back could mean that you will very soon join the dead behind you

    Baby Stuff:

When a boy is born under the waning moon, the next birth will be a girl, and vice versa

    Death:

A bird in the house is a sign of a death.

If the person was evil, weeds will grow.

Pregnant women should not attend funerals.

    Weather:

If a dog eats grass then it's going to rain.

If a cat sits with it's back to a fire then there is going to be frost.

If a lady bug lands on your hand then good weather is coming.
