Do you believe in the Rosewell incident?

I was watching Larry King live a couple weeks ago (July 4 actually) and he was discussing supposive new evidence supporting the Rosewell theory of years past. Bill Nye the science guy was explaining all the reasons why it was impossible.

What do you think happened?

  1. Much of the "evidence" is largely based upon eyewitness testimony which is really old, and no real physical evidence.  Until a few years ago when investigators from sci-fi channel found the crash site itself that is relatively close to where eyewitnesses claimed the crash was.  And had been determined that the crash was around 1947, and that it had an unusual magnetic trace that aircraft of the time would not have.

Therefore, the evidence says it happened.

  2. I'd like to believe it was a Alien spaceship.Knowing the facts I can't.Aside from what 's on the links. There's this, why would Aliens with technology far beyond ours now, never mind 1947.Allow themselves to be part of a cover up?As far as news reports. How many reports do we read or hear that are incomplete or 100% inacurate.Even now it takes days before the facts are in.

It's true none of the official or skeptical reports explain the incident. For a good reason, some of us refuse to accept anything but a space ship.My theory on conspiracies is this.Three people maximum can keep a secret.Only then when two of them are dead.

  3. First I feel the need to state the obvious.  Larry King is a blithering moron.

Larry King should be committed because he is so stupid.

I think it is very likely that an extraterrestrial aircraft crashed but the evidence isn't conclusive..

  4. The overwhelming majority of what people say on this subject is mere speculation.  People on either side of the debate can get all the second and third hand information they want to justify their previously held beliefs.  Since that is all you are asking for, what people believe, I will say that I don't think Roswell is anywhere near conclusive proof that aliens exist and have visited Earth.  I will also say that I was never a big fan of Larry King, but after the Paris Hilton post jail interview, I lost whatever respect for him I previously had.  Bill Nye, however, is actually incredibly intelligent, and since what he says backs my previously held belief, I will accept it.

  5. Hello,,we all know it's true, that's just some government coverup of great importance.

  6. NO

  7. You know, I'm not sure. The one thing that sticks in my mind is the question "Why would they have claimed to recovered a crashed flying disc if it wasn't true? Would almost any other explanation have been preferable? What would be the motive for saying that if it weren't true?

  8. It is well documented that something crashed (actually outside of Roswell, NM) in 1947. The US Air Force admitted after several years that it was not a weather balloon.

The official explanation by the US Air Force that it was a balloon being used in the then Top Secret Project Mogul is often endorsed with great enthusiasm by the professional skeptics.

Unfortunately, they fail to mention (like anything else that doesn't support their beliefs) that while project Mogul was Top Secret none of the technology used in the project was Top Secret and all the materials were commonly available and easy to identify. Thus, if it was a Mogul Balloon we must conclude that an Army Air Corp (what the Air Force was still called at the time) intelligence officer (Jesse Marcel) could not identify common materials. We must also conclude that the only pilots that were trained and trusted to fly the Atomic Bomb (509th Bomb Wing) could not identify these common materials. Further, we must conclude that all witnesses without exception are lying.

I believe that something crashed in Roswell that the Air Force could not identify. Was this an alien aircraft? Was this a Top Secret project of the Navy that the Air Force was embarrassed about not being able to identify?

Was this another Top Secret project (clearly not Mogul) that is classified to this day?

Given the secrecy of the US Military (that even claim that all records were destroyed without authorization yet not a single court martial took place) we will probably never know the truth.

What we do know is that none of the official or skeptical explanations offered sufficiently explain the incident.

  9. This is now well known to be balloon wreckage from the then top-secret Project Mogul.

  10. I dont buy into the whole weather balloon thing soley because we caught the gov. in yet another lie. And also why all the secrets surrounding  roswell.. Can we take a tour? can we walk the premisis? h***s NO! you do and your liable to get shot on sight. What dose that tell you? They are hiding somthing. and its big. If there is life out there then im guessing that they had other plans for us and our planet as a whole. Thats scary.

  11. Roswell is not a crashed UFO. If it were, I'd expect a better job of cover-up than we saw. The possibility of there BEING a UFO, crashed or otherwise, is real somewhere, I believe, but I have never seen one, and am quite skeptical about all these so-called sightings. The actual percent of 'real' is much lower. I trust my military friends who say they saw something; it's a shame I wasn't there to corroborate.
