It is unfortunate that boys will be boys, sometimes meaning that our behavior is not always gallant and chivalrous.  Men, over the years often take advantage of females, rape sometimes being the final result.  The really sad thing is that such "REPORTED" behavior is on the rise with women.  Sad state of affairs,yes?

One of the things I have always said is that young men learn about women and s*x in the wrong environment, that is, lies heard on street corners, locker rooms, and back-alleys.  Many young men grow up with unhealthy, warped, and unrealistic expectations and ultimately become disillusioned and frustrated once confronted with reality.  Given the levels of testosterone in a male's system, I am surprised with the absence of more explosive and criminal behavior.

Perhaps one day fathers, teachers, clergymen, and mothers will instill within young men a more realistic and moralistic attitude about women and s*x.  And while they are at it, teach some of these young girls a thing or two as well.  They're no angels either.

I believe that other people believe in the saying boys will be boys and men will be men and therefore nothing much will change in our perception of accepted behaviours based on s*x. I am not sure what you mean by the last question. I dont think men are forever rapists but I can assure you that there are men out there who are rapists and one of the responses women get from more then one person is that 'thats what guys are like' and 'they get to a point when they just cant stop themselves'. It is the most infuriating and demorilising thing that can be said to a women who has been raped as though all their feelings and their experience has been swept away in one statement of 'they just cant help it'.........I guess that means that as an 'hysterical women' I just cant help getting emotional about being raped. Women will be women.......

Saying boys will be boys is like saying sheep will be sheep or doors will be doors.... its a stupid flippant statement. Of course boys will be boys of course sheep will be sheep etc, i dont think statements like that are reflective of peopes acts or behaviour.

In fact, I think the saying - along with 'girls will be girls' - is not a bad one.  To me, it doesn't follow that boys will be rapists at all, by the way.  It is just an explanation for the differences between the two genders.  There will always be traits - both good and bad - that exist in the genders...and I think its just easier to accept each, rather than try to analyze or change...

I don't think the saying means men are rapist. It simply a way to make excuses for boys acting up. When boys are rough housing parents say boys will be boys.

Boys will be boys! This is why they punch each other's shoulders to show affection & play contact sports. Claiming they are rapists is on par with claiming girls will be whores. I've raised 8 children & regardless of what some would like to believe, boys & girls are different.

What has being a rapist got to do with it?  Men in general aren't rapists!  Therefore men are NOT forever rapists, no.  I don't understand your reasoning AT ALL.
