Do you believe in vampires???? Not the role players!!!!?

I do and not the whole die in sun hate the cross thing because all of that was purely based on Cristian beliefs during the times of witch huntings and all that and people believed that God could destroy all evil. Personally I hope that the Twilight vampires are real and they do sound more realistic if you think about it, and Stephenie Meyer (the author) did get it from a dream and dreams can and some are based on actual things so maybe it is real???? Please state your opinion thank-you.

I believe in them. I hope vampires like Edward (from Twilight) exist. Stephenie Meyer makes him seem so real and I would soo want to date one. Haha.

i think vampires dissapeared back in the days where people would drink the blood of the enemy's they kill in war. most of the things they say about vampires i think were just made up to scare people into staying in their house at night. i do think it would be cool if vampires were real. i like the hitman style vampires

You are mis-informed. There is no such thing as vampire. This fictional being did not have sun issues until the film Nosferatu. Nosferatu was a rip off of Dracula, but the producers could not buy the rights from Dracula and so to avoid a lawsuit, they changed the way they killed off their main character, and decided to have him die by the sun.

It was not part of traditional slavic vampire folklore. In traditional folklore crosses were thought to protect against vampires because a vampire was simply thought to be a body inhabited by an evil spirit. So since they thought crosses would protect against evil spirits, it was only logical that they would think it would protect them from vampires.

Vampire in actual christian scripture, however, is non-existent. In fact even looking at christianity, the christian concept of demons, angels, heaven, and h**l was more than not, a post biblical construct.
