  1. I don't think it does. I'm smart however I trust people too much and can be considered gullible at times. I think gullibility is based on your trust to people. It's also because of lack of knowledge on a subject however it doesn't mean you're dumb.

  2. i saw that one...

whilst i do think you do trust a little too much, i don't think it means your stupid. it comes off stupid to people though.. why, idk

  3. No.  I think it symbolizes a lack of good judgement.

  4. No. Gullibility means a golden heart. A nature's messenger in form of a human being to see if the world is GOOD ENOUGH to produce them in a mass amount so the PLANET can rest a little.

  5. i dont think it does, i think its just of form of trusting someone to a complete extent. but you also gotta use common sense in what to believe

  6. Absolutely not.  Someone once told me something that I always keep close to my heart...it is a saying..."Never believe anything that someone tells you, half of what you hear and one quarter of what you see".  People are entitled to their own opinions and sometimes they are having a bad day or are just miserable and unhappy.  Intelligence has nothing to do with someone being gullible.  Ignore it, listen to a happy tune, do something that makes YOU happy and ignore the person.

    Peace & Love  :)

  7. No, being gullible doesn't mean unintelligent

  8. No I do not believe this true.  In my opinion, at least, gullible people are just stereotypes.  Just because a person may believe things or have more faith they are labeled as "gullible."  As long as you don't act stupid even though you are smart, then you are not dumb.

    Cheers.

  9. nope. It just means the same as naivety - the same as too much trust. Maybe you need to revise a situation before you believe everything you hear.

  10. If she said she thinks you're unintelligent, she's trying to call you dumb...

I think gullibility indicates a thinking style that can be a weakness (failing to see the big picture and large discrepancies in it; being too literal) or it can be a strength (not needing narrow definitions and not getting mired in uncertainties, wanting to cut to the point and solve the problem). Or it could indicate lack of confidence, like the gullible person is not sure enough of her intelligence to question what's given. Or it could indicate she is in denial about the deviousness of others, maybe because she feels threatened by it, or maybe just because she is not a devious or playful thinker.

  11. No, it's not because you lack intelligence. You're probably young and trust others, which is a good trait to have. Someone calling you gullible is too harsh and overly criticizes you. You can say someone is gullible who trust others, but life couldn't go on without that. Just don't take people's word on face value when it comes to things like money. If it's about something else, there is no reason why you couldn't trust someone. Why would they lie? For instance you can't politicians because they are all about money and power and they can't be trusted. But you can trust people you meet personally everyday. Also it depends on how old they are. If they're young teenage boys, you need to question what they say, whereas an adult can usually be trusted.

  12. Gullibility means trust to me.

  13. Gullibility symbolizes lack of distrust. So it's a good thing to a point. And yes she's trying to call you dumb but you can tell her she's a ***** for trying to deceive a "dumb" person. I'm sure your not dumb.

  14. Being gullible doesn't mean that you're unintelligent. It just means you have a better judgment and therefore give people the benefit of the doubt.

  15. No

I think gullibility symbolizes a particular personality trait you might have such as trusting people too easily or maybe you don't want to go through the trouble of solving the percentages of any number of particular choices you might have to be the right one.

Intelligence and personality are two very different things

Then again, if you are the type of person who will try to decipher a decision-making situation every time one comes up, and you end up taking the wrong one, then maybe you do have a lack of intelligence

Keep in mind, however, that your problem-solving skills may be impaired when involving those that you trust

  16. Absolutely not. Gullibility is the result of a lack of experience.

  17. not lack of intelligence just lack of experience

  18.   no, i dont think thats true at all, because i am exceptionally gullible, but i always tested completely off the charts in school.  i was in the 99th percentile on the standardized tests usually.  so yeah, dont sweat it too much

  19. Not at all. I am incredibly gullible but smart. It just means that you kind of trust people a little too much. Or else you turn your brain off after you're done using it for the day.
