  1. I believe it certainly can happen.

Maybe God would do this, so the person could let others know there is a heaven.

Thank you January Jane for posting that link. So like John Piper did, he wrote a book and is sure to inspire others.

  2. Enoch & Elijah were. They were taken among the stars of Orion=heaven (stargate).

  3. That's a religious question specifically concerning Christian belief (since you singled out Jesus). You're asking this in the wrong section, try Religion & Spirituality. Surely you can't be unaware of the Religion category, can you? Science does not have any answers to your religious questions.

  4. We can and we do visit the spiritual world in dreams. Some of those dreams, we can remember next day. That depends on the vibration of your spirit, if you are a loving person, with a heart full of joy, you vibrate love, so you can go there very often. Sometimes, you can help other people in dreams... Others, with their hearts full of anger and hate, who vibrate bad feelings, can't go, instead they meet other spirits in the same vibration, because that's the law of attraction, and those people usually wake up having the sensation of a nightmare, or simply feel tired even after sleeping through the night. I've heard, we can engage in wars during our sleep, but we just can't remember when we wake up. That depends on your own self.

So my answer is yes, I believe we can be taken to heaven (or spiritual world), and this is not supernatural... just natural.

    Peace!

  5. sure. i mean, im a christian and i belive God can do anything.

  6. I haven't heard of anyone going to heaven, even astral traveling.

  7. No I don't. Hmm, I thought I was in the Science & Mathematics section...

  8. Don't know why, but surely do accept that this happens.  It's for God's purposes, and so this mysterious journey has it's perks and perks us who use our eyes to see and our ears to hear.

Thanks for the perky Q :)

  9. Why just Jesus?  The Greeks and Romans have stories of this in their mythology.  I'm sure there are some African and Asian myths involving heroes visiting the world of the dead.

If your belief system has an afterlife, then of course such an event can be depicted, in your belief system.  That doesn't mean it really happened, but then that's not the important part anyway.

  10. Wasn't there somebody in the Bible who was taken to Heaven?  Was it Paul? He said something about he didn't know if he was in the body or out of the body. I don't know if that 's the same thing. Wonder if he was astral traveling.

It's said that Mary was taken to Heaven. What about the ones in the chariots..esp the one that had the anointing and gave it to someone else before he left. (I don't have a Bible anymore..and I've forgotten a lot of this.)

  11. I don't see why not. If there is a heaven and h**l, God could have a number of reasons for allowing someone to visit. The reason that comes to mind is straighting someone out. A good movie is M10.28 where a girl gets shot and ends up in h**l. She is revived and wakes up in an ambulance. She is then sharing her experience with her family and friends whom she realizes are going to end up in h**l, because they don't understand or follow the Bible.

Sure, I think this kind of thing is possible.

  12. By the definition of supernatural or paranormal, being beyond science as we know it, then yes.  In the strict definition of "heaven" (the sky or above the clouds) then all astronauts would have been there and done that.

On the religious side, heaven being where God lives, sure why not.  God is all powerful and can do anything, so they say.    Most likely if something like that did happen to someone, then you would have to know what their experience really was.  If someone from a thousand years ago came along with that story, then they would only have God to explain it or blame it on.  Today someone would say they were abducted by an alien.  It all depends on your frame of reference and your knowledge of the level of technology is.

It could happen, and if there is a God it has most likely has happened more then once.

  13. This question has absolutely nothing to do with the paranormal.

This belongs in the Religion and Spirituality forum.

And I could care less how those "meanies" from R & S are.

And if you feel that god and spiritualism belong in the paranormal, then you may as well post this over in the mythology and folklore section too.

  14. Like in a Near Death Experience? There is this book I have been wanting to read. It is the autobiography about this man who died in a car accident. He was pronounced dead, had a sheet covering his body on the side of the accident. An hour and a half later he came back to life. The book is about his experience in heaven. This is suppose to be a REALIABLLY true story, not the normally bullchit ones. I think it is called "90 Minutes In Heaven."

  15. I have astral traveled to many people and places including heaven..yup it is possible.

  16. It is told in the bible that there was at least two men who went to heaven but did not die.  Also, when Christ was taken into heaven, he was met by in the clouds by two men.

I think those are just Gods way of letting us know that He is all powerful.

  17. I think those people are full of s***!! They make up stuff to make money.Like Fraud Sylvia brown!
