  1. All art is parts.  Fragments.  Tend to break down into even smaller pieces though...

  2. Yes, because art is a very private, individual way of self expression. All artists, even the ones who claim they're just observers taking down chronicles, are including part of themselves in their art. And it's good that it's that way; it gives art that unique, fresh look through every artist.

  3. Yes because it shows you the thoughts, feelings, and likes and dislikes of the artist. It is like a "self portrait" of the inner artist. Their personal expression, no matter if they are trying to paint a pastural scene that 5 others are painting, their painting, the colors they choose, the brush strokes (light or heavy) gives you an idea of how the artist sees and feels the subject he paints, sculpts, or builds. Van Goh was a prime example. You can see a how he painted verses Monet, Toulouse Lautrec, and other painters of that era give or take 50 yrs. The impressionist era was a very straight forward look at modern life. Each artist of that period saw things drasticly in their own personal world.

  4. No, art is sorting out the chaos of our existence

  5. Yes my daughter is an artist and when she is in a happy mood her painting are light and g*y. When she is depressed her painting take on a dark side.
