Obama picks a Washington insider of 36 years to be his VP.

McCain picks a governor who never worked in Washington, but has fought against the establishment in Washington.

McCain/Patin - change that we can really believe in.

  1. You have, congratulation.

  2. its a beautiful day to be a rebpulican my friend.

i havent been this excited about our party since Reagan.  i'm absolutely STOKED!

Oh the irony!  The first woman in the white house will be a REPUBLICAN!

take that pelosi!  haha pelosi will now be #2 and she's gonna hate that

  3. DO i believe Palin is a change that you can believe in?  No.  Personally I recall you saying that Obama was too inexperienced, and that you could consider voting for him in 8 years, but he is not ready yet.  Now the person running to become the oldest president in history, who has 1200 pages of medical records for the last 8 years and that's without the stress of the role of president.  I doubt the change that you would enjoy and believe in would come from a pro-life woman who allegedly fired her commissioner of public safety after he didn't fire her brother-in-law at her request.  A woman who has less than two years experience at the state level and no national experience.  A woman who governed a state with fewer people than Chicago.  A woman who has no foreign policy experience, and although she battled corruption, it was corruption in her own party.

  4. Wouldn't you say that it would be better to vote for mccain rather than obama.  They can not draw pensions after the age of 80.  Voting for obama would cost us so much more taxes than it would to have mccain hes already 72.  If he serves 2 terms It wont cost us tax payers nothing.  Obama, however could cost a fortune in tax payers money.  We still are paying the carter, bush, clinton, and W until the age of 80.  This would help america so much with all the monies they have to be paid for being a president.  McCain would be the cheaper choice.

  5. Completely agree with everything in the first answer.

Seriously, this is just completely mind-boggling why McCain would pick her, of ALL PEOPLE in the country.

    McCain you're WACKKKKOOOOO.

  6. No there is no change to believe in.

McCain and Obama talk about their policies that they claim will help our country.

If they paid attention in 6th grade US Government class, they'd learn that laws are made by Congress and all they can do is approve it (or veto it).

So you hear McCain and Obama talk about their policies on health care and the economy, when THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

And I agree with you, his VP selection was poor.

  7. Good for you. Believing in Bush's failed policies of the last 8 years.

You should be proud....and probably are the smartest guy living in your trailer park.

  8. This was brilliant and for sure, a change I will vote into.  Whatever happened to Obama's " we are tired of the same ole players"?

  9. hahahaha.....ya right dream on~

  10. She is a very interesting woman and if we want a Washington outsider with an emphasis on reform, he could not have done better.  All the other women he might have considered are more Washington as usual people.

We need more people in government who understand how normal people live.

  11. AMEN Brother!  That is called REAL change; not the vain rhetoric and empty promises of team Obama.

  12. This is not change. He chose Palin because as a extreme conservative nut-job she would bring in the evangelicals who would not have supported either Lieberman or Romney. If he had chosen Huckabee, he would have alienate the moderate Independents. This way he brings in the evangelicals while providing the Independents with the appearance of change via the "token" woman.

It isn't change. It was just strategy.

And it will backfire, as she is under investigation, has practically zero experience and barely an education.

  13. After eight devastating years with a Republican administration, wouldn't electing a Democrat indicate a change?

  14. Compared to Bushes and Clintons since 1980.

    YES WE CAN

  15. Palin does not equal Clinton...

  16. If John McCain thought that choosing Sarah Palin would attract Hillary Clinton voters, he is badly mistaken.

The only similarity between her and Hillary Clinton is that they are both women. On the issues, they could not be further apart.

Sen. McCain had so many other options if he wanted to put a woman on his ticket, such as Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison or Sen. Olympia Snowe -- they would have been an appropriate choice compared to this dangerous choice.

In addition, Sarah Palin is under investigation by the Alaska state legislature, which makes this more incomprehensible.

  17. McCain = 4 more years of the same we cannot afford 4 more republican years McCain is ready to keel over and die and so then we get someone with less experience than Obabm some chick from Alaska oh goody

nice try Mc stupid Hilliary supporters are not fooled we are still voting Obama all the way

  18. ~~~Y A W N ~~~

  19. NO!!!   You won't be able to believe the changes this country will undergo.  Instead of a Starbucks on every corner there will be a MOSQUE on every block.

  20.   I voted for Hillary and will vote for McCain!

I'm glad he picked a female with experience.

Obama blew it!  He had a chance to win if

Hillary was the VP.    Now McCain will get

most of the women who were for Hillary and

don't like Obama, Im sure  a large percentage

wanted a female with some authority.  Also

Patin wants to drill in Anwar, and that is

long overdue- hope she can change McCains

mind on that, cause the people in Alaska need

work and WE all need OIL and Energy sources!

  21. Whether you believe is really your choice. I think it's a great idea to have a Washington outsider to be VEEP. This will be the first time we've elected a Senator to the Office of Prez since JFK. That didn't go so well.

Senators don't manage anything, don't run anything. One has to wonder if they know anything.

I really wish we had a Governor running for Prez - but I voted and lost.

I don't think McCain was trying to choose a Hillary type person, otherwise he would have found someone more like her.

If the DEMS can nominate based on color and no substance why can't the GOP's nominate a woman of substance without ridicule and disdain.

  22. McCain has been in Washington longer than the Pyramids have been in Egypt, what kind of change is that? Obama himself, the presidential candidate(which matters moreso than a VP does anyhow) is a vehicle of true change. Obama had the chose of choosing someone of well experience like Biden, McCain HAD to be diverse.

    Obama/Biden 08
