Do you believe that intelligent life is out there?

I've met some pretty intelligent people.  But they're shy.  And from time to time, we send them out.  For example, Niel is pretty shy.

yes i believe the governement is being stupid and keeping it from us tho. in area 51. i have heard there is a 50% chance that there IS life on mars in the cracks and places on the planet we havent seen yet. But yes I blieve there is a such thing, other than in "Star Treck"

Other than the residents of the international space station, there is no evidence whatsoever of intelligent beings in space or on other planets.  If there is good physical evidence for intelligent non-humans from another planet, I would be absolutely thrilled.  However, so far there is no reason to believe it to be true.

no. what are the chances that a planet is exaclty the distance from its sun to hold life. what are the chances it has the same or close to the same history as earth to provide life? the universe may be a large place, but i think that the chances to actually have a planet that had the perfect conditions for life to happen would be slim. it is a miracle that earth formed with its history and conditions.

yes  our gallexy is to lage for there not to be other intelegent life out there; but the universe is soo big maybe they haven't found us yet

If intelligent life forms exist outside our planet and have the capability of inter-stellar travel, don't you think they would do a hard 90 right, at least a million light years from our solar system, just to be on the safe side?

Being a great believer in the Fermi paradox and a great disbeliever in the Drake Equation ( the normal results usually quoted), I tend to believe that humanity is as good as it gets, which frankly isn't very good.  Every once in a while I run across someone considerably smarter than myself and its really annoying.  So I don't want the galaxy to be swarming with smart aliens.  They might make me feel inferior.
