Is it a cruel and barbaric sport or one of craft and human courage and strength? Why not give the Bulls a sporting chance such as the Bull running in Pamplona each year?

  1. like u said it cruel. first the poor beast is not fed for days so it won't be too strong. then they do cruel things to its p***s to get it angry and confused to only be sent out to be massacred in front of a crowd. its a very cruel, that poor animal is suffering, dying a slow paniful mocking death how could tha ever be even considered a sport is beyond me. U know what else they do in spain, once a year they have a festival somewhere where they throw a goat off a building while people catch it fall to its death. what the h**l is that?!! its disgusting just like bull fitting.

  2. It is part of their culture. We slaughter millions of animals every year and very few people have a problem with it because you dont have to witness the slaughtering.

While I dont personally enjoy watching bullfights, I have absolutely no problem with those that do.

Edit: To all the arrogant jerk's that have the nerve to go to somene else's country and tell them how they should behave according to our sensibilities, please stop complaining when they come to the USA and try and hold on to their culture while living here. But I just want to thank you for perpetuating the image of the "Ugly American".

  3. I have a better idea, let's replace the bull with your average scrote!

  4. No, its a tradition...... To those of you who decide to give me thumbs down , grab yourself a steak, cook it to medium rare and enjoy. You will be safe in the knowledge that your steak suffered much more than the matadors bull.

  5. No! it's the culture! I think people should take care of keeping their own heritage and cluture and worry less about others.

  6. Cruel and barbaric.

  7. I have never understood how bullfighting, dog fighting or cockfighting were entertaining in the least.

If I wished to watch an animal killed, I'd watch a nature show about lions or something.

I  imagine they will die out as more people realize how lame they are as "entertainment."

  8. As I eat them that would be hypocritical.

They don't have to be cruel to them but then again I don't have to eat them.

  9. naww.. it's not cruel,, is a tradition, a ritual that it's been passed on through many generations. You couldn't understand unless you grow up with it  and unlesss you are part of the culture where it originated.

It's not cruel because they both get engaged in the game, bulls are merciless and look forward to strike the oppossing party too. They both (bull and bullfighter) see each other as a possible prey and predator at the same time.

  10. ban it and the bull run too

  11. Yes, it is cruel.

  12. yes. and also boxing. its barbaric too

  13. You actually don't know a lot about bullfighting, you should do your research on it before you complain. I'll compare it to the traditional slaughterhouse methods, which are much much more cruel  than the bullfighting.

For starters, a slaughter house bull has no chance of making it out alive. A bull bred for bullfighting does have a chance; if he is aggressive and brave enough, he will be forgiven.

Secondly, a slaughterhouse bull will be kept up in a small unhygienic space all it's short life while a bullfighting bull will spend it's life in semi-wilderness before sent to the ring.

Thirdly, a slaughterhouse bull suffers a cruel death; a slaughterhouse bull will be hit on the head - and while sometimes still alive, ripped open. A bullfighter bull dies almost instantly with an honorable sword blow to the heart. Of course, sometimes the bullfighter ***** up, but when he does people are pretty angry at him or her for making the bull suffer when it should not.

Compared to the slaughterhouse, the bullfight ring is VERY humane.

  14. it is spanish culture why should they stop for a few whiney liberals

  15. No, we should make it even more cruel and pointless so that it will better reflect modern society.

  16. no!

  17. yes Ken i do. It's barbaric.

  18. Yes ban it altogether, politicians have no heart so it will continue,,,,

  19. It's a cruel and barbaric slow slaughter (not a sport).  The bull is tortured beforehand and its tongue cut out so you can't hear it cry out in pain.  It's a disgusting spectacle and I can't understand why anyone would want to watch it.

  20. It should be banned.

It is it plain cruelty to animals

    It is not sport.

It is an insult to the very spirit of sport.

It is neither courage or strength but plain barbaric.

    Take care

  21. NO

  22. Absolutely its a cruel, inhumane sport and I dont know how people watch a poor, innocent, tortured animal being painfully, slowly murdered.
