Do you believe that ouija boards work?

Do you believe that you can really speak to spirits through them? Whatever your answer, please tell me your reasoning. Thanks!

No, I don't believe that you can speak to spirits through a ouija board.  The ouija board is just a game that you can buy in most toy stores and department stores, an ordinary piece of wood or plastic or cardboard.  It is meant for two or more players so it will not work very well if you try to use it alone.  It has no supernatural powers.  It does not communicate with the dead and it does not contact spirits.  It does not open any portals to the underworld or to anywhere else.  The people using the ouija board make it work through ideomotor movement.  It plays on your mind and imagination and your susceptibilities and beliefs and fears.  It can be scary because the imagination is a powerful thing, and can make you believe just about anything.  Here are a couple of links that discuss ouija boards and how to use them.

Hey if your gonna play with fire have a water hose to put it out.. i would not just play with the Ouija board, unless you know what your doing.. it maybe fun an all until you start to have destruction come to you.. the board works and you don't have to have the parker brothers game to find out, you can make one yourself and test it!!

I know somebody who used the ouija board and got sick afterwards...coincidence? Not sure. Just to be on the safe side, don't use one. It's supposed to be a portal to communicate with spirits. Sometimes those spirits don't go back into the portal and start messing with you. If you did use a ouija board, DO NOT BURN IT. It destroys the portal that you opened and those spirits that got through...stay because they can't get back to the spirit world.

Spirit: "That person just destroyed our way back home. Well, nothing better to do than scaring the living f**k out of him/her"
