Do you believe that "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"?

I am a firm believer because what one may like another may not.

Some people prefer slim people and others prefer vulumptious and some people like intelligence where some prefer average, some people prefer blondes whereas some like brunettes or redheads or no hair at all. We're all unique and different.

I believe it. It certainly explains ugly children and baby mommas.

Most definitely.   I have seen women described as being beautiful when they have been downright ugly!      I personally cannot see anything beautiful about Kate Moss and yet the whole world seems to think she is one of the most beautiful women in the world.  I have seen thousands of girls on the streets far better looking than she is.   Sorry Kate if you read this.

I definitely agree with you. We find it rather difficult to agree on what and who's beautiful and canons of beauty vary from culture to culture, too.

definetly. i agree, the boyfriends some of my friends have had in my opinion are ugly, yet they think the guys i like are nerdy looking.

I feel it is true. It all depends on the person. My boyfriend is very handsome, and many women are attracted to him. I am a bigger woman, curvy would be best described as me. He adores me. He could have any skinny blond woman he wanted at the snap of his fingers, but he prefers me! I am intelligent, but not to the degree he is. I feel that he could do better if he wanted, but I feel happy that he appreicates me for the way I am and my flaws.

Could not agree with you more. The sexiest men I have known are not what most people would consider "hot".  On the same token,  the men called "handsome by any standard" are not always so.

exactly that..but i think women are more accepting of looks than men are. ive been with some really ugly guys. but when i was with them i never saw i still loved the way they look because i loved them!

without a doubt, I completely agree with you. The world is obsessed with perfection but what is perfection when everybody has a different perception of it.  I am happy with me, I am not perfect but my hubby thinks I am...apparently...lol!!

Yeah i think u are very right. Everyone is different, we have different tastes different needs and different wants. Indeed what one likes another may not. And no one is perfect or more beautiful than another. At the end of the day there will always be someone who see's you as the most beautiful.

Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder.
