Religions have divided mankind and they had been at war. They could not allow us to reach God, rather we had been killing people only because they were from another religion.

  1. Yes, I believe.

Paths going in different directions can never join and become one, though they reach at the same place.

  2.                                                YES.

  3. Religions will never join as one, but people will.  In fact if you listen, you will hear more comments like "we are all one family" - We all belong to the same energy - we are all brothers and sisters.   The world is evolving into the understanding, hopefully, that we are all connected to everyone and everything and what happens to one person happens to another.  Religions?  No, I personally do not believe that they will ever become one because they, individually, see themselves as the true religion, and every other religion is seen to be wrong.    How can mankind become one, if some feel that they are right and everybody else is wrong.  We have to be aware that we are all part of the same human family.   Human beings NOT having a spiritual experience bu Spiritual beings having a human experience.

  4. Yes to the first and no to the second.

  5. The bottom line is: No one needs to be killed for the sake of religion.

  6. Man, my friend, has never been "one" as you say.  Man was one with God until his great fall.  A great rift began and continues today, and the only way a man can breach this world to something eternal is through Jesus Christ, who is the bridge between this world and God's Throne (and believe me "no one goes to the Father" but by Him (Christ)).  Man will misuse even God's own ideas and his Son's teaching for evil because some men cleave to evil deeds and walk in darkness.  But believe me when I say God is incorruptable and perfect, and one day when all becomes like sand, and your knees shake because of the very near end is upon you (either your natural death or the End of Days) you will want to know Jesus as the one who is "mighty to save" to bear you up on eagles wings to God's house, rather than eternal damnation below.  And then you will see, ALL the power is (of course) in God's hands and he will do as he pleases with every one of us at his accounting, which is going to be one red letter day (an understatement to be sure).  No missile, no tank, no government, police officer, or anyone can stop what God renders as just.  Period.

  7. Yes, religions have been and still are dividing people.

The Creator of humankind assures us that there one day will be unity.

    (Isaiah 11:9;Matt 6:10;Dan 2:44;Isa 9:6,7)

  8. yes

  9. Yes to the first part, but a resounding NO to the second. the process of uniting the world has already begun and is well on its way. Do you know about the Lotus Temple near New Delhi? The Baha'i Faith, uniting the world one heart at a time.

    ================

The Jews await the Messiah, the Christians the return of Christ, the Moslems the Mahdi, the Buddhists the fifth Buddha, the Zoroastrians Shah Bahram, the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna, and the Atheists - a better social organization! Baha'u'llah represents all these, and thus destroys the rivalries and the enmities of the different religions; reconciles them in their primitive purity, and frees them from the corruption of dogmas and rites.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of Abdu'l-Baha v1, p. vii)

The Message of Krishna is the message of love. All God's prophets have brought the message of love. None has ever thought that war and hate are good. Every one agrees in saying that love and kindness are best.

    (Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 35)

Blessed souls -- whether Moses, Jesus, Zoroaster, Krishna, Buddha, Confucius or Muhammad -- were the cause of the illumination of the world of humanity. How can we deny such irrefutable proof? How can we be blind to such light?

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 346)

To Israel He (Baha'u'llah) was neither more nor less than the incarnation of the "Everlasting Father", the "Lord of Hosts" come down "with ten thousands of saints"; to Christendom Christ returned "in the glory of the Father"; to Shí'ah Islam the return of the Imam Husayn; to Sunni Islam the descent of the "Spirit of God" (Jesus Christ); to the Zoroastrians the promised Shah-Bahram; to the Hindus the reincarnation of Krishna; to the Buddhists the fifth Buddha.

    (The Kitab-i-Aqdas, p. 234)

If religion proves to be the source of hatred, enmity and contention, if it becomes the cause of warfare and strife and influences men to kill each other, its absence is preferable. For that which is productive of hatred amongst the people is rejected by God, and that which establishes fellowship is beloved and sanctioned by Him. Religion and divine teachings are like unto a remedy. A remedy must produce the condition of health. If it occasions sickness, it is wiser and better to have no remedy whatever. This is the significance of the statement that if religion becomes the cause of warfare and bloodshed, irreligion and the absence of religion are preferable among mankind.

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 298)

Every eye, in this Day, should seek what will best promote the Cause of God. He, Who is the Eternal Truth, beareth Me witness! Nothing whatsoever can, in this Day, inflict a greater harm upon this Cause than dissension and strife, contention, estrangement and apathy, among the loved ones of God. Flee them, through the power of God and His sovereign aid, and strive ye to knit together the hearts of men, in His Name, the Unifier, the All-Knowing, the All-Wise.

    (Baha'u'llah, Gleanings from the Writings of Baha'u'llah, p. 8)

Religious hatred and rancor is a world-consuming fire

    (Abdu'l-Baha, A Traveller's Narrative, p. 42)

And now let us consider the various peoples of the world. All the nations -- American, British, French, German, Turkish, Persian, Arab -- are children of the same Adam, members of the same human household. Why should dissension exist among them? The surface of the earth is one native land, and that native land was provided for all. God has not set these boundaries and race limitations. Why should imaginary barriers which God has not originally destined be made a cause of contention? God has created and provided for all. He is the Preserver of all, and all are submerged in the ocean of His mercy. Not a single soul is deprived. Inasmuch as we have such a loving God and Creator, why should we be at war with each other? Now that His light is shining universally, why should we cast ourselves into darkness? As His table is spread for all His children, why should we deprive each other of its sustenance? As His effulgence is shining upon all, why should we seek to live among the shadows? There is no doubt that the only cause is ignorance and that the result is perdition. Discord deprives humanity of the eternal favors of God; therefore, we must forget all imaginary causes of difference and seek the very fundamentals of the divine religions in order that we may associate in perfect love and accord and consider humankind as one family, the surface of the earth as one nationality and all races as one humanity. Let us live under the protection of God, attaining eternal happiness in this world and everlasting life in the world to come.

(Abdu'l-Baha, The Promulgation of Universal Peace, p. 99)

  10. It is not religion that divides,it is man himself money, land royalty, power.Too much to list.

  11. There was only one religion of God " Submission to God " the Arabic word is Islam.

Some selfish and ignorant people by unbelieving prophets of God divided them self to different religions,

in the name of some tribe or in the name of a person or country.

The culprit is not religion but the people.

  12. The more fools who listen to people like you, the more confused the world will become and yes your nightmare will become true

  13. No not religion.

Mankind has done it him self.

Blaming it on religion is an easy out.

  14. People have always been and always will be divided, religion or not.

  15. I believe they divided mankind - past tense.  I believe that many divisive religions are rapidly fading as we understand more and more about our world, and rely less and less on superstition.  In my opinion, t's only a matter of time until we have few, if any, religions which do not in fact fall primarily under the heading of "philosophies."

  16. Yes it has divided us, no it hasn't stop us from reaching god, that statement right there is why we are separated.  What about the non-believers?  If we were all Athiest we would unite and understand that nothing good can come from war, religion, hate.

  17. Yes.  It's a lovely dream, but lions and lambs are not meant to lie with each other.

  18. God divided mankind at the Babel Tower construction site... Humanity was never again united in love and harmony!  All because the Trinity God team feared that man is capable of reaching Heaven on a tower built out of clay and tar!  Honest to God! I am not lying! It is all in the Bible...

(Gen 2-3) The Bible writers created an original God idea different from the rest of the Heathen. They clustered together 3 persons in a single Deity known as the Holy Trinity. This Holy Trinity team created MAN in their image. In the Beginning “God”… this God is plural in the Hebrew language. Suddenly all 3 of them became extremely paranoiac about humans becoming “like one of us” if Adam and Eve would eat from the unrestricted “Tree of Life”! So after Eve ate a fruit of the “Tree of Knowledge” God placed a “flaming sword flashing back and forth” preventing the access to the “Tree of Life” until God had it transplanted elsewhere or until it withered and died! NO SUCH SECURITY was provided to prevent anybody eating from the “Tree of Knowledge” in spite of the fact that it had the power to send the bulk of the human race to a sulfuric burning h**l for ever and ever that the Bible God ALREADY CREATED for Satan and his angels a few days earlier before Eve ate from the Tree of Knowledge! So much for the “God is love” slogan...

(Gen 9-11) 1,000 Years after creation the Bible writers are telling us that all 3 members of the Holy Trinity “God” REPENTED having created man so they destroyed all humanity in the FLOOD, except for Noah! Humans begin to proliferate again in one big family in peace and harmony. No ghettos. No wars. No crime. No competing religions! Noah’s religion was very liberal. It allowed humans to get drunk, to party naked and to curse at will. They all spoke the same language! HUMANITY WAS UNITED LIVING IN PEACE AND HARMONY LIKE NEVER AGAIN! The Holy Trinity God became extremely paranoiac again at the thought that this time mankind would actually reach Heaven! So they came down from Heaven to check the construction site at Babel, Babylon “TO SEE” what is that men were doing (so much for God’s omnipresence). The Holy Trinity God didn't care that the vast majority of the human race was going to h**l already, but they were frightened about any human being going to Heaven on his/her own! Anyway, any of us would have loved to watch how many floors of “clay brick and tar” are needed to reach Heaven, but not so the Bible God team! They would not risk finding out too late so this time the Bible God punished humanity confusing their common language in a way that NOBODY understood each other any more! NOBODY BEATS THE BIBLE GOD as the chief “Author of Confusion” ever...!!! That is the explanation given to us in the Bible on why we have so many different languages and so much diversity in the world today! We have ghettos, racism, wars, crime, religions by the bushels, and so on! According to the Bible we are no longer united because the Holy Trinity God team confused the language and scattered humanity “all over the face of the Earth!” …and so on… plain primitive Heathen hogwash…
