  1. No, because from what I understand, you don't move about when you are dead.  Sleep is the body's way of recharging itself.

  2. No, I don't take a day trip to Heaven in my sleep!

  3. I think that is right because we say that the sleep is the small death.

  4. No.  Somehow, death isn't an event that needs rehearsal.

  5. No. I personally believe it is an insight to what's going on in my life and dealing with my psyche. I also believe it has something to do with my soul.

    Deist

  6. Not really.

Whilst sleeping, one has dreams and notion, of waking up.

If it would be akin, no one would go sleep voluntarily

Oh, and respond to your deleted question about Fireball

    My sentiments.

I am trying to NOT to read her answers and play her game..she is just very sick puppy, so, let it be Kitteh

  7. No need to practice for death.

But the two are similarly states of unconsciousness, although one is much deeper than the other.

  8. Sure, and afterlife could either be a dream or a nightmare that would never end.

  9. No. Sleep is a process that rebuilds your body. Death is a process that rots it away.

  10. Hey I like your analogy... I'll chew on it... thank you!

I'm surprised by the other answers... in sleep there is a hope of an awakening. Shouldn't it be the same in death... at least as a possibility?  Nobody can be sure of it until we get there...

  11. You have been Reading Edgar Allen Poe haven't you ?

He wrote "Sleep..those little slices of Death, How I loath them"

  12. Dear

Holy Book Quran explains about it explicitly:

39:42 It is Allah that takes the souls (of men) at death; and those that die not (He takes) during their sleep: those on whom He has passed the decree of death, He keeps back (from returning to life), but the rest He sends (to their bodies) for a term appointed verily in this are Signs for those who reflect.

May God almighty guide all of us towards Salvation Amen.

  13. If I were to say that I believe that in your sleep you go to another place, in this instance, the world of dreams, and in death you go to another place, an afterlife, then yes.

Sleep is a journey akin to death, much like rail travel is akin to road travel.

They are both a means of travelling to another place beyond this waking world.

  14. No.....

  15. No.  You dream in sleep.  You won't dream in death.
