  1. I think all wooded areas are good for the environment, large or small. I have a tiny little woods on the back of my lot. I love sitting outside in the summer and smelling the fresh woodsy air.

  2. No. It's actually algae and aquatic plants that produce most of the earth's oxygen.

The Amazon however, has TONS of biodiversity that could be used to cure diseases. The ecosystem there has a lot of plant and animal life that should be preserved.

  3. how can it be a lung, thats an odd metaphor

  4. well ahh the rain forset has more trees and more sun plus every creature has two lungs so mabye canda is the second lung while the amazon is the first

  5. this is the real reason that CO2 levels are climbing

it is because of the rainforest being cutdown around the world.

if they did not cut down these forests we would not have a problem with CO2

cutting down forest and replanting is OK because younger trees absorb more CO2

but the countries that cut down rain forest do not replant them.
