"The Beast on the East River" by Nathan Tabor that I just finished reading convinces me that we very much could.

  1. Yes, WAKE UP!!!

George Bush Sr. said it in his OWN words right here:

Now, if any one of the CFR members gets elected(Obama, Clinton, McCain) they will establish a North American Union, which along with the European Union will develop into a new world order - a one world government.

*This is also the reason why no one cares about our borders anymore...

  2. It already has in many ways, and what is left the elite here are trying to give it way through the SPP.

  3. Not as long as we keep electing Republicans!

  4. Most Democrats would probably think it's a good idea!!!

  5. The United States is essentially the United Nations.  We created it - 1945 San Francisco.  Before that, it was Woodrow Wilson and his idea of the League of Nations.  Also, the US gives the most $, therefore we have the most power in it.  Think about the IMF and World Bank, the US basically tells states how to develop, how to spend the $ = neo-liberalist, Washington Consensus, Western Imperalism.    New World Order.

  6. The people who control the world have allegiance to no nation. Nations, as it were, are a great hindrance. So yes, eventually, one world, one government, same group of people owning everything. Welcome to the Matrix.

  7. There could be something The United States could do instead which could be to introduce The Human Right To Peace into The Bill Of Rights . The next step which would not give up sovereignity to introduce The Human Right To Own The Planet and to conserve resources , The Right To protect the environment, the right to an a world free from pollution, the right to a world free from manmade global warming.

  8. That fear factor of your question is so Cheneyish

  9. By agreeing to abide by the United Nations' decisions, United States and the other members have given up a small part of their sovereignty.  The United Nations was established in the last days of WWII.  The purpose of the UN was "facilitate cooperation in international law, international security, economic development, social progress and human rights issues."

It was created to provide an institution to resolve international conflicts and avoid a repeat of WWII.  Many historians have concluded that the way World War I was ended resulted in WWII.  I haven't read the book, however I do believe that reforming the UN, the US government, and most other public and private institutions can result in them being more effective.  Careless reform can also damage the effectiveness of these institutions.

I find it interesting that some people believe the UN is a threat to the USA's Constitution.  Other people believe that "national security" policies of Washington, D.C. are a threat to the USA's Constitution.  Can both these groups of people be right?  Have these people ever read the whole Constitution and the amendments?  How much of an understanding of the USA's Constitution do they have?

  10. You mean we haven't started doing so already?

  11. as long as we don't have billary clinton or obama for presidents

  12. we're talking about Americans here, the land of the free, home of the brave. and even if there are convincing arguments to do it, the united states tends to be a somewhat self centered superpower. never going to happen

  13. Crickey Kid! Didnt your mother ever tell you not to believe everything you read?

    No! For goodness sake!

  14. From a biblical standpoint, yes. The prophecies of Daniel and John (in Revelation) give plausibility to the idea that the Anglo-American world power will give up its power to the UN or a similar organization should the UN be replaced.

Although it may not seem likely at this point in time, I do believe it is very likely.

  15. There is definitely a LARGE contingent of "One-Worlders" active in the Left here in America that are trying to make our country subject to World Courts and the dictates of the Untied Nations. Anyone who doesn't see it has been watching too much CNN and MSNBC. NAFTA was only the beginning... they are taking away the rights of Americans one little chip at a time. Using the courts to legislate the necessary steps that we won't allow them to enact as laws is one of their most effective methods, redistribution of our wealth to others both in our own country and to third world dictators, and we sit still for it, perfect little blind lambs being led to the slaughter.

  16. If this happens, it will happen on slice by slice - salami - basis.  That Bush is pushing for the Law of the Sea Treaty is a disgrace.

  17. Not in this lifetime.
