  1. Everybody has powers they don't know they have. We use a very small portion of our brain and if we trained it properly, we would be surprised at what we could achieve.

  2. Powers of its own?  Well, possibly.  I mean, over the past years the study of the psychology has skirocketted.  People have claimed to be affected by all sorts of unexplainable phenomias.  With that being said, I do believe that the human mind has great control lives.

  3. Yes, I've seen people make others do things. The person didn't even realize they were being control. And, I've had it done to me. Example..You start to go into a room...then whammo..you change your mind and don't go into it...and go into another room instead. (Later you find out that someone was hiding in that room) I think this can have to do with mental telepathy ...but it's like a "force" that pulls you away..or towards..wherever they want you to go...or not go. Also can make you fall down..etc. I think it's kinda like a mini possession or  a "force" around you  or something. Hard to explain..

Edit..333 ..I think this one will go to Shadows!!

  4. Yes, based on extensive evidence in support of this idea.

  5. The brain most definitely has powers of its own. However we h ave not yet made enough advancement in our technology to have the brain stand alone. Also, if you had a body, what makes any one think they would be happy just being a brain?

  6. It's not a matter of belief.  There have been numerous confirmed studies that indicate the mind has power over the body.  Medical science takes advantage of this via the use of placebos.  Physicians stress the importance of a positive outlook.  Hypnosis is somewhat more debatable, but is certainly a high-profile demonstration.

  7. I know that strange things happen which defy what is considered to be understood by people. I am not sure that the human mind is working alone when true phenomena occur. When referring to ESP type occurrences I don't like to use the word "powers". My experience with true ESP was random and not an attempt to do anything, but that's just me. Others may be closer to having what could be called powers.

  8. yes

  11. No.  Your mind is attached to your body and your feelings.  As a matter of fact, all three operate at the same time.  One cannot think something without also feeling it and it being exhibited by their body (even on a microscopic chemical level).  If you start to see your mind as separate from the rest of you, be careful, this could be the beginning of schizophrenia or a psychotic split.  Mind and body and emotions are one.  Keep them unified, not separate.  The human mind's powers come from your body and from your emotions so the more powerful you want your mind to be, the more emotionally healthy you need to be.  We all know how 'darkly' we think when we feel 'dark', and vice versa, how clear the world is when we are feeling happy.  When one emotion dominates for a long, long time, eventually the body will reflect this as well.  A depressed person FEELS depressed, THINKS in a depressing way (negative, pessimistic), and ACTS depressed (slouchy, slow-moving, no-energy, no animation, no hugging, etc).  Same with an angry person, or happy person.  You are your entire body, every fibre, every cell, with every thought you think and emotion you feel and movement your body makes.
