  1. yes,i know it existed....

  2. It is believed that Plato may have based the myth cityical of Atlantis on ancient Crete, which is the oldest European civilization known to exist. There are a few similarities in the story of Atlantis and the archaeological evidence we have about Crete.

But "Atlantis," as described by Plato, did not exist.

  3. if it is real, there was nothing magical about it. Just a wicked city god destroyed, like Sodom and Gomorrah, or Jerusalem

  4. Yes. Where is was there are many theories. I read a convincing book that put it in antarctic. It might be true. It might also been a whole civilization which is now mostly underwater. There are pyrmids under the ocean off the coast of Cuba and other places like the seeming stone structures off the coast of Japan.

  5. Yes, I Believe It Did; and apparently so did PLATO...!!

  6. idk.....but i do think that there was once an island that we dont know ever existed..........

  7. yes i just think it got flooded out and is in the ocean now

  8. no its a myth

  9. Yes, and Acheron is the Apostolos

  10. What if humans have reached great technological heights in the distant past and these ancient superpowers destroyed themselves in the ages of the different 'Root Races' long since past? Sounds crazy right? But there are some strange things that need explaining!

Some say J.R.R. Tolkien knew of these repetitive cycles when he wrote his Lord of the Rings Trilogy that started with the 'Armageddon' of the 2nd root race age (Hyperborea) and ended with the 'Armageddon' of the 3rd root race age (Lemuria) and the start of the fourth root race age (Atlanteans). Others say he was trying to warn us in a way. Like the eye of Sauron is similar to modern and ancient symbols:

Remember how Tolkien even had a resurrection during the 'Armageddon' of their Age of Middle Earth? But what do you think he meant by part two- The Two Towers? Were they related at all to artwork from ancient secret societies?

  11. There's absolutely no proof that it does, and it's all based on an ancient Greek fable.

  12. yes geological evidence exists

  13. I think it's possible. Think of Easter Island and those mysterious heads. Also, think of the ancient fish that was found that everyone believed had become extinct millions of years ago. There is a lot about the ocean & it's contents that we know nothing about, and if we do, the information is often very limited.

  14. NO, it did not.

  15. Atlantis appears in Plato's dialogues Timaeus and Critias. It's the only place that it does in any ancient literature. In reading the works it's clear the story is a lesson about what makes up an ideal society.

"While the bulk of Plato's account of Atlantis details its physical and political layout, its location and the nature of its destruction warrant only a few hundred words. It is a meagre foundation for the weight of subsequent theories and speculations on which the modern controversy is based"

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/ancient/gre...

Written in  348 BCE, the dialogues supposedly refer to a time 9,000 years ago when Atlantis sank.

So where's the evidence? No, not similarities in culture or language, good physical evidence.

Everything since Plato has been speculation, psychic divining, and wistful thinking. There's not been any evidence presented that is clearly linked to Atlantis.

  16. It could be possible

  17. Yes and it could have been completely destroyed by

1)natural disaster (floods, earth quakes, etc.)

    2) conquered by aggressive people and killed off

No one really knows for sure.

  18. Atlantis was a large island, larger than Libia & Asia together lying in the Atlantic ocean beyond the pillars of Hercules, according to Plato the ancient Egyptians had the story of the disaster of Atlantis carved in hieroglyphics on the massive pillars of the great temple in Sa'i's. Now no one knows how long this great city and temple have been standing but it has been recorded since at least 3000 BC. and It was the royal capital for the twentysixth Dynasty of the Pharoes. Thats all I can tell you on the subject. Well ! it's all I've got time for.
