There are so many positive stories, but I just feel like the media ignores it. I know there are a lot of things that go on that are negative, but there is also a positive side to those stories, and the media just ignores it. Anyone else feel the same?

  1. Yes.

  2. yes, i think there is about 99.5 percent negative, and even if a story is a least 50 percent positive, they spend more time on the negative parts.

i think there is something in news shows that says 'Bad nwes is interesting"

"good news isn't news at all."

  3. I believe people like Nancy Grace give you the news like it is. Unfortunately, I believe that there is so much negative going on that it really does outweigh the good things out there. This world is just a greedy place. It's all about the rich getting richer, you can that with these gas prices.

  4. i remember hearing about a newspaper that only reported good stories and they went out of business in 60 days. people like to hear about bad, not good, because most people don't have good in their life and they don't want to hear about good things happening to other individuals. they get jealous, misery loves company. when i wake up every morning, i have two choices, either be in a good mood or a bad mood. which is more fun?

  5. man loves evil and darkness

  6. As long as the Kak-Jew element is in charge of the media, we will ALWAYS have problems!

All this is documented and PROVEN in The Anointed, The Elect, and The Damned!

  7. It's all about ratings.I turned my tv off and I'm better for it.

  8. no, I am not fully agreed about that.Media is not always negative, but the only difference is,it highlights the darker side a little more than the brighter.

  9. I agree with you 100%.  There are always two sides to every story.  Unfortunately people enjoy drama, excitement, and sensationalism.  The more grafic the pictures are and the write up is the more people will purchase that particular newspaper.

Example: Did you ever see on the front page of a newswpaper,  THE SURGE IN IRAQ SUCCEEDED?   Of course not!

Do you ever see a headline on the front page of all the different kinds of technilogical means we are trying to develope so that gas prices will go down?  Of course not!

There are lots of good things that are happening which are never printed, and if they are they are on the back pages of the newspaper.  Most people have no time to read the paper from the beginning till the end, so anything positive (if printed) will not be read.

Truth to tell the radio, and T.V. do the same.  Of course unless someone had Sixtuplets, or just recently they had on the news that a woman gave birth to twins, each weighing 10lbs.  it made the headlines.  Why? Because it is SENSATIONAL.

It goes under the same catagory.  SENSATIONALISM, DRAMA, EXCITEMENT.

  10. Absolutely, people want to hear about death, rape murder, mayhem, not some good samaritan finding puppy dogs in a storm drain and rescueing them.Sensationalism, death, murder,it works!

  11. Because grief, gore and mayhem sells.

  12. That's why the depression medicine commercials are on during the news! Those evil b******s work together.

  13. There is a saying in the media:  If it bleeds it leads.

So if there's some huge disaster or a shooting you're going to hear about it first.

But then just yesterday on the local news here the lead story was actually about a convention in town that's bringing a lot of money into our local economy because the people attending the convention need hotel rooms and they need to eat and the convention center is in a major comercial area of town.

What they report depends on what's happening out in the world.

  14. I believe this is wht u call ratings....just like s*x sells, so do negative stories.  If its not sumthin gd, ppl wanna kno, otherwiese its not newsworthy.

    Thats pretty sad aint it.

  15. Yes I agree with you.  The media always reports negative things.  To me this is not real news but the public seems to buy it.  It seems as if the public would rather hear bad things because good things aren't exciting enough.

  16. whats interesting is, all the pharmacy commercials on the news networks pushing pills for High blood pressure (stress) acid reflux (stress) anti depressants (stress).

I think if you do the research, you'll find the largest advertisers on news networks are medical related, so it would makes sense for tv execs to keep thier customers happy by doing stories that keep you feeling uneasy, unsafe, stressful etc.

I think the medical cure of the future will be people shutting off their televisions.

  17. Oh yes! There is never anything positive with them! Goodness!

  18. Yeah, bad news sells.

  19. Yes, I do agree. It also seems that relying solely on the big tv networks or cable news stations will increase that sense. I find that diversifying my sources of news (reading a good newspaper and listening to public radio, for instance) helps round out what I hear, downplaying the sensationalism, adding depth, giving me an expanded world view and providing more "good news" from day to day life.

  20. Yep, that's what people want to read about.

  21. The media is in that business to make a profit ...........

Plain and Simple  - murder, mayhem and disasters sell big time.

Everyone (cynical assumption) will stop and gawk at a train wreck but few will stop and smell the roses blooming in the park.

  22. Oh dear - not another tired old Christian question!!!

So you want murder, rape and serious accidents to be ignored so that a grannies 90th birthday can be reported.

What a wonderful way for making sure that people do not realise the dangers in life and make them far more easy pray for the murderers and rapists!

If good news sold then there would be a lot of very successful magazines and papers selling it - but you will not find even one - that should tell you something!!

Most people are intelligent enough to work that out!!!

  23. yea. the news is soo depressing. they talk about the good where there is no bad so they'll have sumthing to talk about while the cameras rolling

  24. That's just what the media thrives in negativity but still i agree with you there are always two sides to any story but then we must understand the chances of a positive story selling is less than a negative one.

In the end all the good things of a particular story is twisted just enough that the negative parts overpower the good ones

  25. What do you think sells newspapers?

  26. How often do you see a positive story posted?

  27. Oh, I just hate how they twist the truth.  Almost always!!!  They'll make something sound unbelievable just to make you see what they're talking about and then, if you're smart enough, you realize that they're full of it.

  28. Newspapers print, and TV/radio stations report on, whatever they think will get them readers, viewers and listeners. They are in business to earn money. And what interests most of us is generally negative. Nobody wants to hear or read that "millions of people in the world woke up this morning and enjoyed a really lovely day." That's life, get over it.

  29. It's all about ratings, as unfortunate as that sounds it's true. Nobody would remember a huge disaster if nobody died... that would just be boring. It seems more deaths more viewers is their goal.

  30. I agree  but if you look at it audiences want the blood aond gore stories but I wish they had more positive stories it gets depressing after a while

  31. Unfortunately, everything on TV, even the news, is about what the people are interested in and what the people will watch.  If I showed you a puppy playing in a field, you wouldn't go out of your way to watch the news tonight at ten.  But if I said a marine threw a puppy off of a cliff, well...you and most others would have a little more interest.
