I think a President should act like:

1 a father figure (he is the head of our national 'household')

2 a college professor (he should work to educate us regarding things we don't know)

3 a mentor (he should be a model of good behavior for us to emulate)

4 a big brother (he should protect us when we need protecting and kick us in the a$$ when we need a kick in the a$$)

5 a coach (he should motivate us to be the best we can).

there is a certain way one should act before during and leaving the white house. with god as his leader, wife by his side and children (no matter their age) like responsible citizens. Bob Barr for president!!!!!!!!!!!

He/she should be a honest person, decent. He/she should be AGAINST WAR.

He/she should be conscious that usa is NOT the center of the universe.

He/she should promote peace with other countries and stop harassing and making other countries life miserable.

Yes.  Article II, Section 1 of the constitution requires the president to take the following oath:

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability,preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

That it how the president should act, a fact which has been steadfastly ignored by the present incumbent.
