  3. That would be a no.

  4. like a watermelon seed?

  5. No... New age cults teach that and it's false...

  6. Yes. But not all. And gods but not God.

Claiming to be God was the accusation to Jesus of the Jews of his time, saying, "thou, being a man, makest thyself God" (John 10:33). This is because God himself said, "I am God, and not man" (Hosea 11:9). But understand what Jesus said in return.

"Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken" (John 10:34-35; Psalms 82:6). They are gods unto whom the word of God came. Let's go for it a little deeper.

Luke 8:11, "Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God." They are gods unto whom the word of God came "which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience" (Luke 8:15). They are gods but not the God.

The biblical principle of reproduction has always been "after his kind: and God saw that it was good" (Genesis 1:25). Therefore, when God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" (Genesis 1:126), that was tantamount to saying: Let us make man after our kind.

God is a Spirit (John 4:24), and if He will make man after His kind, man must of necessity be a spiritual being rather than a physical one. This is the message that Jesus wanted to convey to Nicodemus when he said, "that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3:6).

This was expressly declared in 1 Peter 1:23, "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for over." Yes. We are all gods in seed form -- IF. . . with "an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience" (Luke 8:15).

When the first Adam was created, he "became a living soul" (Genesis 2:7); but, having heard the word -- "of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die" (Genesis 2:17) -- and kept it not, he died as a spiritual being (see Ezekiel  18:4) and remained as dust. This was the verdict: "Dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return" (Genesis 2:19).

Jesus, the "word became flesh" (John 1:14) "was made a quickening spirit" (! Corinthians 15:45) because he said, "the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6:63). This is because "whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak" (John 12:50).

I hope you got the point.

  7. NO!!! Not at all! There's only one God, and we are just His children and humble servants.

EDIT - I think there is a religion that believes this... I'm sorry, though, I don't remember which

  8. Um, to the Christians out there, your Bible specifically says we are gods. Christ himself said that. Must have been one of the verses you either ignored or overlooked.

Matthew H. You stated that it is a lie. Gen. 3, 4 reads "You will be able to tell the difference between good and evil. You will be like God." That are the words of Satan.

Gen. 3, 22. The Lord God said, "The man has become like one of us. He can now tell the difference between good and evil.

You stated that Satan lied..so that means G_D lied too as He said the exact same thing.

Sorry, you just confused me with your comment saying it was a lie when The Lord God said the exact same thing and you called it a lie. Thats what you get for trying to speak for God.

  9. In seed form?  Dunno about that.

Why not just gods?  Unaware perhaps.  But gods just the same.  Maybe.

    .

  10. No
