  1. i dont think this is possible but who knows but i know it is possible to have control over your dream as i have done this many times and can b a lot of fun but it rarely happens ne more you can do ne think you want but sometimes b very unpredictable but im my conrolled dreams im able to wake up at ne time if somethink scary happens.

  2. You sure can, that's the great thing about dreams. You can fly, breath underwater and be anywhere at any time.Anything you can imagine you can do in a dream. The problem arises when folks can't tell the difference between dreams and reality. With all the crazy things I read about here(astral traveling, obe's and such). There are many very imaginative and confused folks with no shortage of gullibility.

  3. I do know many think that they are dreaming when this happens...Yes you can go into the future in your sleep, by astral travel. I also know that you can be given dreams of the future either by spirits or we are given the vision through God's eyes. When this happens to me, I now try to listen and understand it, because at times the future is shown to us as warnings to protect us.

  4. Well no scientist has ever dared to approach the mechanics of consciousness. The way I look at it, because my brain generates my mind, then beyond the wall opposite me is my frontal lobes generating the image of wall. Also, the wall in reality has no color, it is just a vibration that my eyes/brain transform into color. So this 'color' where does it exist. It seems to be held by a geometric object, as I would assign dimensions to my consciousness. It also seems to be bound by some law, like a certain action in my brain is certain to generate a given output in my consciousness.

So, what is your consciousness is in terms mathematical objects? Where is it in term of position in the universe? Does it exist is a weird kind of space that is similar to space-time but allows for this future visions?

Who know, but conscious mechanics would be an excellent field of study!

  5. used to happen to me alot when i was younger... like details of how things will happen... when i wake up i dont remember it at all.... but when i actually live the dream (so it came true) i start to remember it... and know what will happen in the next few minutes ahead... used to freak me out proper... but the dreams slowly went... now i only get few a year... stilll freaky.... how to explain it?

  6. No, I don't. You can dream some things and maybe by chance something might happen in real life, but it's just chance.

  9. I don't think something like this can be proven yet; it relies on the word of whoever is saying they've had a predictive dream and can't be tested externally. However, I think that the subconscious is a lot more powerful and capable than we imagine it is. Something I researched a while ago known as lucid dreaming comes to mind - in lucid dreaming, you are able to realise that you are dreaming and in that exhibit control over your dream. You can practice new social skills or just think and use the time constructively; of course, if you are practising social skills, the reactions of the people around you won't be exactly what they would be in real life!

This can be thought of as some sort of 'prediction' and it does occur. It relies more on your own experiences and 'guesses' of the subconscious as to how people will respond.

You can bring this up a notch and say that predictions like predicting an event in the near future, for example what the news report will be, are just a culmination of your subconscious analysing and utilising the information from around it that has been gathered through the course of a week, or even your entire lifetime.

Also, when people experience 'deja vu' (ie. thinking they have seen a certain situation before as they are living it), it may be due to the short term memory portion of the brain randomly firing. For example, if you heard your friend say something, your short term memory would cause the memory to replay almost instantly, so you think you have seen it before. It also might be due to the way that the nerve impulses arrive at your brain from your eyes - there is a nerve that loops around the brain and one that goes directly to it from each eye. If one eye saw an event and that was transmitted via the short route, while the other eye transmitted it via the long route, there would be a slight delay in the arrival of information and you would think you have seen the event before. This may be interpreted as a 'prediction'.
