Do you believe the Lightning will continue make big moves by making a move today?

Apparently, Danny Boyle is on the trading block.

"in the meantime there's a rumour floating around the NHL that suggests veteran defenseman Dan Boyle may be a trade target."

  1. im predicting boyle and jokinen will be traded to edmonton for pitkanen and rob schremp

  2. Yeah, the way they're going I don't know if they'll stop making moves.

They need a more defensive defenseman. Hopefully they can get one or two to help Smith out.

  3. I wouldn't say the Ning have made "Big moves" this offseason.Rolston had 59 points last season,Roberts is 42 and Malone had 51 points and will be making more money then 7 of the 10 top scorers in the NHL last year so maybe overspent for him.So I don't think those 3 players make it "big deals" but adding a Dman or number 1 goalie would make it a successful off season for your beloveds. Also who knows aboot Stamkos and adding a coach that couldn't win with the greatest of them all to boot.

**Elaine-I would soooo "Beware the power of it"if it was 1993.You know what?I wouldn't then either.LOL

  4. It's gonna be a busy week around the league.

Apparently it is just the beging for them and some of the trades up untill this point are going to be used for more transactions in the near future.

  5. Not happening. All the moves they have made don't mean squat if they lose their best defenseman, and they know it. They just signed him again this past season. He is not going anywhere, unless another top-flight defenseman comes back in the trade. I greatly doubt that.

  6. I HATE LOSING BOYLE....if it happens I will be very very pissed.  When we lost Richards I knew it was coming and we needed cap room, this I don't agree with nor understand.

Yes he had a down season last year compared to the year before but he is easily our best defenseman.  As for today, I think we could have another trade only because I don't expect us to hold on to both Roberts/Rolston....one of them will go and they will pick up a D-man

    EDIT:

BOOOO, I don't like that.  Don't get me wrong Roberts is great but that means chances are Rolston will be dealt somewhere...also I hate 1-year contracts for a one and done season, you never feel like you actually on the team

    EDIT:

FYI - I just noticed that the Kolzig to TBL have increased over Emery...I wouldn't mind Kolzig at all.

  7. Are they going to be the Rangers of the South, mentioned in every player case?  The Lightning are going to have to remember there is a salary cap, and they also need to consider signing a goalie.
