  1. "but that depends on whether global warming beats us to it."

What are you talking about? We've already been through global warming and survived. This isn't the first time it's happened, it occurs naturally.

Anyway, it's probably more likely that we'll evolve in to some sort of robotic species, or some sort of species where everyone is able to give birth to children, men and women, we'll all have two sexual organs or something. Bisexuality is becoming more and more common.

  2. we are evolving in RATS.

it´s already a lot of human acting like these rodents

  3. I believe we will evolve and become smarter

  4. I think eventually we will die off, Humans are there own worst enemies and will eventually Destroy each other. Lets hope not though.

  5. I believe we will evolve,

but that depends on whether global warming beats us to it.

  6. I believe we will kill all food source's then start eating each other and that will be that!

  7. We will evolve into beings that can live off pure sugar and no exercise.

  8. God will save us

  9. See, this is the type of questions that ruins my day and gets me thinking about mother nature, humanity and global warming. But i'l answer it. To be honest your question is interesting but I would say no because although apes into humans is quite a step I cant imagine us evolving into robots or another kind of mammal or speicies for that matter

  10. There is no "We". Human beings are just one species in the evolution of Life. Life will evolve from us, just as birds evolved from dinosaurs. This will happen whether we interfere or not.

With our knowledge of biology and genetics increasing, I think we will, one day, understand fully how DNA is transcribed into body structure. Any change desired will then become possible. We (or rather, those who come after us) will even be able to fully describe the brain and be able to decide which parts can be improved and which can be reduced in size, thus putting more computing power into the same skull volume.

If we do interfere with our body development, almost certainly people will have different preferences, which means that different body plans will develop. Some will choose to fly, rearranging their body plans to include wings and a much smaller, and different, brain to save on weight. Others may wish for gills so thay can live underwater. Space travellers may opt for suspended animation for long journeys. Polar colonisers may change their body chemistry to produce a much lower blood temperature and altered enzymes, so they can live in polar regions. The possibilities are endless!

  11. Evolve until the end of days...

    Arent we evolving already?

Human are getting smaller because we don't much muscle to do work..

People who live in hot climate has darker skin to shield them from the heat..

    For me that evolution...

  12. Humans will continue to evolve until all of the that branch of the evolutionary tree goes extinct.  Neither humans nor their offspring, whatever their species, will exist on this planet in 10 billion years, or perhaps in a million years.

  13. it has no choice but to evolve.  with all of the man made chemicals affecting the average person, the environment and eco-systems.  Just take a look at the insects and pests.  Chemicals make them evolve to the point they're immune to them and we have to make the pesticides stronger or come up with alternatives.

  14. Human race like all other species is constantly evolving. It is highly unlikely that humans will go extinct in next 1000 years but very likly that Male humans will become scarce as the "Y" chromosome is losing its genetic materials.

This is due to the fact that male of any species have evolved to perform physically challenging tasks. "Y" chromosome is nothing but a mutation of X chromosome. giving any organism with "Y" chromosome greater strength.

However given the present circumstances, humans perform less physical work , most of the work is done by machines. thus the requirement of Y chromosome by humans is diminishing .thus Male humans are evolving out of existence.

I have calculated that males will be completely extinct in next 1000 years.

    Thank You

  15. the human race will never die out.  It will just be changed to another name and evolve to where we came from.  lol :)

  16. Yes, I believe that.  We will either die out or evolve, which is really just a form of dying out anyway.

  17. We'll evolve, but if changes (hot OR cold) occurs, instead of being 5 billion on earth, we may end up 5 million with the lack of resources we'll be able to produce. Imagine the horror those who'll survive will go through!

  18. In the "current" world human evolution, according to many evolutionary biologists, has ceased.  Humans, due to our manipulation of our environment, have removed themselves from the selection pressures of the environment and, therefore, will no longer evolve.

However, due to our misuse of drugs such as antibiotics, we have caused the evolution of antigens (disease causing organisms) and if anything, microbes such as bacteria (and viruses) will be the cause of mass death to humans.

Such antigens can mutate (evolve) far faster than can the human immune system as some bacteria and viruses can change from one generation to the next (example is the HIV that causes AIDS).  Once that mutation gets into the population of the antigens, it will spread very quickly.

  19. We will evolve.
