Do you believe the theory of the mayan aztec apocalypse year 2012?

  1. There is nothing in their beliefs that says an apocalypse will occur.  The Mayans simply didn't extend their calendar beyond the epoch that ends in 2012....that's all.

I doubt they intended the end of their calendar to be interpreted as the apocalypse.  I would imagine that 2012 (which would have seemed like an eternity for the Mayan/Aztecs) was just the date that they chose to stop.  They had to pick a certain date, and I would guess 2012 seemed far enough out (and they were correct). Had they lived to today, I am sure they would (just like we do) keep extending the calendar.

  3. The earth will explode in 2012 and we will all die. If you have things you want to do better do them now. See you in heaven or h**l.

  4. why sure, and you won't be able to prove me wrong until 2013.  I've heard lots of theories regarding this question, ranging from the barely probable to the down-right ridiculous.  One that I liked said that there had been more than 10 previous civilizations prior to ours.  One of these days maybe we'll get it right.
