  1. They Republicans are trying to do something about it but the Democrats think it is more important to protect the environment .In fact they think the price should be over $5.00 per. gallon.

  2. of course yes !

  3. Scientists...

We just lost a huge piece of Arctic ice shelf  - 19 square mile, about the size of Manhattan.

  4. I will take the common sense of Palin over "world's" scientists anyday.  As a scientist, I know she is correct.  The socialists of the "world" like to invent their own science.  They like to pretend that because CO2 is a greenhouse gas and humans emit greenhouse gas that that proves America is responsible for the world's problems.  That is not an exaggerated statement as absurd as it sounds (and it is absurd).  That is what your "world" scientists believe.  Frankly it is a bunch of nonsense, to put it nicely. You can blindly follow them if you chose but I chose to believe actual science and economics that is beyond Marxist.

  5. Belief----------- sounds like a religion. Anyway-- Republicans believe we need to be doing MULTIPLE things on the energy front to get off of foreign oil. Nothing is off the table-- solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear, electric cars, and YES drill where the oil and gas is located! What a common sense idea!

  6. I love how the doubters assert (without any evidence) that "most" scientists don't agree with AGW.  A list of actual climate scientists, with quotes and links would be nice.  Until they provide something like that, I'll go along with the statements of these actual climate scientists:

"In the long run, greenhouse gas concentrations need to be stabilised at a level well below 450 ppm (parts per million; measured in CO2-equivalent concentration). In order to stay below 2 ºC, global emissions must peak and decline in the next 10 to 15 years, so there is no time to lose."

Your question is a false dilemma.  Because there are many Republicans that understand the reality of global warming.  Sarah Palin just doesn't happen to be one of them.  But John McCain has long accepted it as a real threat.

  7. I do not believe either is 100% correct. The US is only a part of the global warming problem. Our cars all have pollution controls as well as our factories. The main source of gases that cause global warming come from coal burned in China. That accounts for more than all the other industrialized nations combined. Until the scientists start placing the blame on China who has no concern for global warming, the problem will persist. My main gripe with Gore's proposals is that he does not condemn China and their polluting the world.

  8. Both.

Most scientists don't believe there is any evidence of significant human made global warming.

  9. I believe both, since there are quite a few scientists who state that humans aren't causing the climate to change.

  10. Actually McCain is firmly on record saying global warming is real, man-caused and we need to do something about it. It's one of the oddities of his platform. Even George Bush has agreed it's happening.

But there seem to be a lot of Republicans who just won't admit their leadeers have changed their tune.
