  1. Yes, I do believe that.  When I was young (in the 1950s) there was a dinosaur called the brontosaurus ... those are now known to be non-existant and have been 'replaced' by the brachiosaurus and others.  The REASON for this is the changing technology we have ... there are now machines with good 'video' that can send sound waves through the ground to different 'levels' and see the fossils 'in situ' ... when they 'dig' they can be more careful and not 'mix up' the bones of even two creatures that died one on top of the other.  Because of this, they are finding 'new and previously unknown specimens' of dinosaurs, and even the animals BEFORE the dinosaurs.  They recently found evidence of a 'fish with legs' that came between the first 'water creatures' and the first 'land creatures that live in and near the water.'  Try looking in Smithsonian magazine, and National Geographic magazine (they both have online sites) to find out more.

  2. There is a reasonably large chance that we have yet to unearth new species of gigantic dinosaurs/mammals.

In fact, every year new species are being identified by paleontologists.

  3. No.  Any animal alive today isn't prehistoric by definition, seeing as it has to be alive today.

  4. you know what, i actually do.. There are so many creatures, that have not been discovered yet.. Did u know they found an Unicorn deer in  Italy?? Look it up, i think its on the msn site or google.. I will post it up here when i find it.. But its amazing, its an baby unicorn deer.> No joke!!

I belive there are so many animals that have not been discovered yet, ie Loch Ness Monster, I actually belive its true.. its one of those, why not, it could be true! :p
