Are you conscious of the importance of free media, and its power as a mechanism of manipulation / moneypulation?

Media is suppose to provide for democracy, but if corrupted, how do you call it?

No there is no media manipulation in the EE.UU.

There is excessive media distortion in the EE.UU.

When the media companies are owned primarily by GE,FOX, Disney, Warner Bros. It makes freedom of speech, not necessarily free. FOX News for instance, is infamous for squelching and spinning news that they don't see fit. Along with censorship, the actual running of a commercial for your soapbox speech costs an arm and a leg. Free speech is not free when corporate conglomerates have access to an infinitely broader audience than you do. It needs to actually be fair and balanced.

You have journalism that is more sensational than objective. News that is more entertaining than informative. And you have the average IQ of an entire nation dipping down an extra 2-3 points.

The same things are repeated over and over. "Liberals are bad, Liberal Media is the boogeyman, those dirty Liberals wah wah wah". Ask any American to define what "Liberal" actually means and you will see it won't be anywhere close to a dictionary definition. It's nothing more than some ideas located on a political spectrum that is nowhere near the extreme.
