Like children who are adopted? It's called bioeden: http://www.bioeden.com/ . What do you think about saving baby teeth stem cells?

**I'm posting it again because my first question was deleted (not by me). It was considered a violation- don't know why.

  1. This can benefit anyone, and I think certainly deserves consideration on the part of parents, especially if the child is likely to not have any biological family available.

    Thank you for the link!

  2. yes it will..because i think it was england or something that a brother and sister who were both adopted by diff. people were about to get married untill they found out..

    eww creepy right

  3. Sure - I guess it could eventually.

  4. it could

  5. no

  6. This is the Adoption Police and this is your official THANK YOU and 5 stars for an extra cool link!

  7. Yes, I would do it if i had no idea who our children's first families where.  I would do a little more research.  Look into bone marrow transplants and kidney transplants.  I know someone does an ethnic background stats.  See how long it would take on the donor list for a Guatemalan child.  The wait time in comparison to a Caucasian child would greatly influence my decision.

Great forethought and really good parenting skills.

  8. 'Thank you......I have had mixed feelings for years for not banking dd cord blood, primarily because she is mixed race. But because of the delicate nature of adoption I felt in inappropriate to ask her first mom.

The story of the death of Rod Carue's (sp) daughter made me think of cord banking years ago. Because of her mixed heritage they were unable to find a bone marrow donor match. Now they are finding stem cells from cord blood is really helping young children with Leukemia.
