  1. yes

  2. yes we theres so much hate going on you never know.

  3. Ir is almost impossible for us to go into another great depression. after the GD in the 1920's social security and other precautions were put up so we would never again fall into one

  4. Yes, without a doubt.

  5. No.

And the last one wasn't that great, either.

The last one did teach us a lot about the way the economy works and allowed us to put into place a lot of fail-safes that prevent the economy from crashing. Of course, the Bush administration has worked diligently to weaken these controls. But, they might still work.

  6. I have been studying the market, politics, economy, etc. for awhile now to determine if in fact we may be headed for another depression and I have come to the conclusion that it's very unlikely but it is a remote possibility. Our country has learned from the previous Great Depression and we can probably head off another Great depression. However, if certain conditions fall into place at the same time, we may not be able to prevent it. For example:

If, the demand of goods and services from every sector of the economy goes down ENOUGH. With massive layoffs and unemployment further eroding the purchasing power of the consumer thus creating a negative feedback loop for the housing market. Then a recession could turn into a depression. US Consumers can no longer borrow against the value of their homes. And now they cannot keep spending like before. Thus a drop in consumer spending snowballs on to other sectors of the domestic economy. Add these factors possibly with some unforeseen natural disasters and you have the making for another Depression. Our politicians need to stay ahead of the game!

  7. It is already here. 2,000,000 plus unemployed. Jobs leaving America just as fast as big government can pay them tax breaks to move out. There are no jobs available except Internet scams. The New World Order and the Federal Reserve ripping America off. The oil rich and government contractor war profiteers ripping America off. We are going way beyond depression, we are going into endless debt to China and other countries the Federal Reserve is borrowing from.

  8. no a depression necessarily. but i do believe we are headed for a recession! theres a difference being that a depression has an unemployment rate higher than 20% and the stock market has to crash more than twice i believe. a recession doesnt have that high of an unemployment rate and isnt so drastic. I think the economy will pull itself above waters before we even get close to a depression because the Federal Reserve is actually trying to keep us from going down (unlike when the depression hit). Since the Feds are cutting rates left and right, we will be fine :)

  9. Yes, unfortunately.

No one would listen to left wing complaints when Bush was spending money on war like it was water because he thought the bank would never be empty.  "I'm the WAR PRESIDENT" he used to brag.

He thought he was on Daddy's unlimited allowance, but that was our tax dollars and now... it's all gone and we're borrowing from China and wishing to get those overseas jobs back.

  10. Absolutely. It's been in the cards for many years and will be much worse than the last. The world bankers (of which the Federal Reserve is a part) need to neutralize this country's power. Soon the dollar will be worthless and as the USA, Canada and Mexico merge, we'll be forced to accept the Amero as or new currency. Chances are pretty good it'll be worth much less than the dollar. Give it a few more years. It's coming for sure.

  11. No.  but i believe this economy will get a lot worse before it gets any better.

we can't spend, spend, and then spend some more without the possibility of ever being held accountable for this out of control spending!!!!!!

  12. No, the current situation is nothing like 29. Actually, the economy is doing really well for people that actually made an effort to train themselves and learn the skills to make money.

Instead of worrying about the economy, get yourself the skills needed to make a living.

  13. possibly, i mean with gas prices going up and food prices as well

  14. not really its always a recession it just gives the u s ammo to make people buy more stuff until we are out of danger

  15. yes. everyone knows that.

  16. I thought we were, but in class the other day, my professor said we can't even be heading for a depression because domestic stocks haven't gone down. They need to go down two times in a row to hit a recession.

  17. No doubt we're heading into rough times.

But nowhere near the struggles the average American faced in the Great Depression.

  18. no
