Do you believe we can actually have "real" friends?

As an adult, I've had my share of relationships with friends. Over time, friends seem to disappear as your life changes. Are they all just casual relationships? Are we all too busy to have an honest and true friend no matter what life brings our way?

from my experience yes...it seems like friends come in seasons...I don't have a lifelong friendship with anyone...sad..but true. I only had true heart felt friendships back in my counrty Costa Rica. Here in the US is has been really hard for me, and I've been here my whole life.

no there is no such thing i believe your sister or brother or family will defend you in the end friends come and go family is always there :)

I had this problem, especially after I got married. Many of my friends got so upset that I couldn't go out every night clubbing or that I couldn't just drop what I was doing to help them all the time. Of course, I was also being used and dropped them.

My husband and I are looking for new relationships with other couples. It's harder to find good solid friendships when you are an adult. Currently we are also looking for new hobbies, but it's difficult when you don't have any money.

Those a the way things go..if you don't keep up with friends.

If you want a true friend, be a true friend yourself. You'll get many surprises.

I'm an adult and I have three close friends who are like family, if you care about them in the real friendship kind of way then yes you can have real friends if they mean so little that they vanish then they are not real friends... and you need to find people that you can have a real friendship with.
