everyone has a part to play and it is said mums spend more time with their children hence can help me educating them from young about being environmental. No, not even all the men and women put together are going to "save planet Earth". The Earth is not dying by the way it's not going anywhere. It's recovered from many NATURAL things over its life.

Anyway, global warming is a very natural thing. Does everyone really think that they are greater then the sun? Or even volcanoes for that matter. I for one don't believe all this rubbish that the governments are try to brain wash us with. I'm glad to know many people who think the same way too.

Yes, women can and must. In fact not just women, but everyone who occupies a piece of this earth we're standing on. We all can do this very simply from the home and work fronts. All it takes is taking that first step towards global greening, and continuing in that direction - conscientiously. Get the whole family involved, it could be more fun than imagined!

   Women or Men, no difference to me. Housewives can start with collaborating  with other moms and propose a union to help school in teaching global warming. I would call them the EnviMom, patrolling the school campus and advice students not litter, etc. The mom groups can also issue grocery bags to student to be given to their parents. They can also make school gardens. wouldnt that be fantastic?

  For career women, they can start with themselves. Just one lady can show the rest of colleague in fashion statement sense. eco clothes can be sooo stylish. bags. They should start  an epidemic in the office!

Besides being able to play a significant role in changing policies and creating awareness, I think women's greatest contribution to saving mother earth starts at home. From a mother teaching her child how to love and treasure the earth, to equipping the child with the knowledge that he/she can do his/her little part to save the earth. I believe that a mother can get a good example for the child by doing the things that she says, such as recycling bottles, saving electricity by switching off the lights when not needed, saving petrol by walking the extra mile and conserving water. That was what my mother taught me. And its has stayed with me until now.

Recycle? How many of us office workers, take the time, to use recycle paper for internal memos, own reference, are they willing to spend dat few minutes just to take that recycle paper and put it in the by-pass tray. A hassle, time consuming.

Its also us, women, again take the initiative to bring recycle bags to marts and do our grocery shopping .

As well know, it depends on individuals and not gender issues.
