Do you believe your media and government?

The present day West is filled with as much lies and propaganda as the communist East ever was. How do you feel about that?

I don't want to go off of the deep end with a lot of criticisms but I am far more questioning in my attitude toward the media and government.

The main difference is that the population in the Communist East rarely believed the stories they were told but couldn't do anything about it.  In the West, we seem to lap up all the c**p media news and celebrity worship that takes our attention away from how the politicians are diddling us, and the politicians like it that way.
