  1. yes

  2. ofcource

    its good to have ipl

it makes the people to understand the capability of young peoples as well as a team spirit of various people from other teams

    moreover

it serves as less time consuming and every moment intresting game

  3. IPL has no direction at all. it is a game to earn maximum money.

  4. It is pure entertainment.

Maybe that is what the fast generation needs today. Time being so scarce.

It is the opposite to what we knew as cricket, the Test matches.

It is for those who have no time to sit through a 5-day long tournament.

  5. No.

    And yes.

To qualify my answer: No because I feel it is too commercial- I have no desire to see cricket go down the same lines as football.

Yes because it makes the game more popular, and also brings it into the modern world.

  6. The IPL (Indian Premier League) has saw an immense flow of money being 'thrown' in various directions. 20-20 cricket was introduced by the England Cricket Board (ECB) as another form of cricket designed to generate further interest. And most importantly, it was set out not to replace test cricket or one day cricket, but to continue alongside it.

Now the IPL started as very contraversial, with many people unsure as to whether it would succeed or fail. I'm sure a key point that we can reach a consensus on, is the interest that it has created for the game. People who thought cricket was "long and boring" and let alone those who have never watched it before, have been captivated by the electric and 'nail-biting' aspect of the game. A critical example, in my opinion, of this is the introduction of cheerleaders into the game.

I believe that most importantly the IPL has been a great success for the cricketing world as it has created peace within cricketers, bar the incident between Sreesanth and Harbajhan Singh. Now a key example is the relationship between Hayden and Harbajhan, which by media reports has been resolved and sorted out after the much gritty and contraversial Sydney Test at the beginning of this year.

However, the IPL has its negative impacts as well. The IPL has been criticised for the 'old fashioned' traditional aspect of cricket being taken away. Many renown cricketing greats have denounced that its impact on Test cricket will be substantial. Some even fear that Test cricket may even eventually be dropped. Cheerleaders have also been subject to negative taunts from the crowd and have expressed their anger to being treated like 'trash'.

In my opinion, the IPL has had great impacts on the cricket, but one should be cautious as to not letting it overrun the more traditional aspects of the game.

  7. I'm certainly enjoying it. It's a shame its on so late in Australia. I think it was a step in the right direction but maybe a small step back might be in order now. I think 30 overs would be better, 20 is a bit short.

  8. yes. It is right step

You can watch all IPL matches including final Semifinal matches

  9. No, it is purely a money spinner & a threat to traditional cricket.

  10. NO.. 44 Days constant Cricket matches   too   much ..Excess of any thing is poison...

  11. yes...It is going in the right direction

  12. till now its going in the right direction but again:may or may not.......only GOD THE ALMIGHTY knows that.

  13. i agree with terrible, it's fun in the beginning but afterwords it gets boring.

good old 50 over game is the best where the team has to have a plan before they step into the field..not just try to hit many Sixes as yo u can.

IPL is going to hurt cricket because all the good players from other countries will come to India...remember what happened to west indies?

  14. For Indians maybe but not for other countries where multisports are being played...... It wont work in other countries because they have some other sports that people are interested in unlike in India where cricket is almost the only sports indians are interested.......    I personally think that IPL will die down if not today maybe tomorrow, I mean 20/20 is okey but it gets a bit boring if you  watch it continously.

  15. It's a fantastic. It's cricket on cocaine. It has speed up the game to match today's shorter attention spans. But IPL has also taught an important lesson. It has brought boys from remote places to the front and the way the players of different nationalities are playing for one team is amazing.

  16. well everything in this world has some good qualities as well as some ill effects, the same goes with ipl. on one hand its making the game popular in different countries n on the other hand its too comercial, it involves too much of money.
