  1. yes i do believe in it.

there is so much proof that it is actually happening.

such as the glaciers melting and the sea levels rising.

and this is such a big deal because it will one day get so bad that we wont be able to control it and it will destroy the earth.

i think we as people should do more so help slow down global warming.

cause this is a huge issue effecting absolutley everyone.

  2. I believe that the world is changing. I don't think it could just stay the same way forever. Who knows? But yes, the average temperature is going up. In my opinion, as the number of living organisms increases, so does the amount of heat in the world. Our bodies give off heat, so the more people, the more heat. Machines (cars, airplanes, factories, etc.) also probably affect Global Warming. But it doesn't bother me that much because, frankly, what can you do about it anyway. I don't really worry about it.

  3. I believe that the Global warming is happening. It really just suprises me when people tell me that they dont believe in it. Yes, I know everone is entitled to there opinions but I just wonder on what basis do they not believe in Global Warming.

  4. of course...global warming is real and we should help our planet..its the only one we got...if we dont we'll be living with the dinosaurs...heres a llist of ways to help

-unplug your tv when not in use

-dont drive when you dont have to(walk  ride a bike, carpool, public transit)

    -make a poster

    -plant a tree!

  5. well, we see what happens

if suddenly, the environment starts changing and floods increases, they yea i believe it:)

  6. Global warming is a real threat.  however we are not a significant cause of it like most people seem to think.  Global warming is a naturally reocurring phase in the Earth's constant climate changes from ice age to melt down.  these happen every 200,000 years, almost like clockwork.  there was a mini ice age during the 15th or 16th century, but right now we're for the most part still in the melt down phase, at least for another 15-18 thousand years.  humans put a yearly amount of six billion tons of carbon monoxide into the Earth's atmosphere.  seems like a lot, but compared to the 180 billion tons entering the atmosphere from plant decay, oceanic evaporation, and volcanic eruptions, it's really very minimal.   The carbon monoxide in the atmosphere doesn't just stay there either, it is constantly being recycled by the vegetation of the earth, then changed to oxygen.  we then breathe in the oxygen and beathe out CO2 repeating the cycle over and over again.

another fun little tid bit of information is, about 40 years ago scientists believed the carbon monoxide entering Earth's atmosphere was blocking the sun and causing a global cooling, all because of a 2.7 degree change in the earth's average climate.  roughly 10 to 15 years later the scientists changed their minds and said the earth was actually being over heated by the sun, because the temperature had raised  2.7 degrees, actually bringing the temperature back to it's original average.

i guess to answer your question, yes i do believe in global warming, i'd like it to speed up a little with this unbelievably long winter we've been having.  however i don't find it possible for humans to be the cause of it.

  7. everyone HAS to "believe" in Global Warming before it is too late! Global Warming is happening, so act now!

people are so ignorant when it comes to the enviorment

  8. Yes,carbon dioxide is destroying  is the ozone layer which is melting the ice cap.The Earth is getting warmer. Habitats will soon be extinct because of global warming. It has already begun it is too late we can't stop it.But we can slow it down by driving hybrids, vehicles that run on bio-diesel.Reduce Carbon Emissions.Turn the tv off when not watching. All little things like switching off the light bulb when your not in the room can help.

  9. "Believe" isn't the word I'd use.  I know it's real, and mostly caused by us.

This is science and what counts is the data.

"I wasn’t convinced by a person or any interest group—it was the data that got me. I was utterly convinced of this connection between the burning of fossil fuels and climate change. And I was convinced that if we didn’t do something about this, we would be in deep trouble.”

Vice Admiral Richard H. Truly, USN (Ret.)

    Former NASA Administrator, Shuttle Astronaut

Here are two summaries of the mountain of peer reviewed data that convinced Admiral Truly and the vast majority of the scientific community, short and long.

There's a lot less controversy about this is the real world than there is on Yahoo answers:

And vastly less controversy in the scientific community than you might guess from the few skeptics talked about here:

"There's a better scientific consensus on this [climate change] than on any issue I know...  Global warming is almost a no-brainer at this point.  You really can't find intelligent, quantitative arguments to make it go away."

    Dr. Jerry Mahlman, NOAA

  10. No, but it did invent Al Gore.

  11. I believe in Naturally-Occurring Global Warming.  According to the 'Clovis First Theory', the world had so much of its surface covered in Glaciars that the sea levels dropped to the point that the Bering Land Bridge was available between Alaska and Siberia.  That timeframe was about 12,000years before present.  Since then, Global Warming has been taking place naturally and is at its current Climate.

Most people aren't aware that the primary cause of Global Warming is Water Vapor and is documented at the NOAA website in the URL below.  The problem is that comparisons between Water Vapor and other Global Warming Gases aren't stated in most articles and even less will state what percentages each gas represents.  Those that actually state the effects of Water Vapor will list it is responsible for 70-95% of the Global Warming or Greenhouse Effect.

I am still waiting for the Anthropogenic Global Warming Theory to appear in a Scientific Journal where it can receive extensive Peer Review.  Until the time where it passes Peer Review, it will not be a valid Theory.

  12. I believe that there is SOMETHING happening, and that we may be a part of it, and it's somehow hurting the environment. Yet, i don't believe it's eventually going to get to the point where there will be millions of floods and droughts across the world.

  13. I think it's pretty obvious that global warming is happening.  Research from scientists around the world is constantly confirming it and has been for years.  It really doesn't matter how many people want to pretend it isn't real so that they don't have to face the facts and they don't have to change their way of life, truth is the world is warming up and we just might be able to slow it down.   Global warming concerns have been around long before Al Gore became involved in it and they will be around long after he's left the lime light.   If you do some actual, well rounded research, from trustworthy, non biased sources you'll be able to see the changes in climate and the effect on the planet and it's inhabitants.

Governments, especially the US government, have been trying to hide the effects of global warming for decades so I really doubt that global warming is a myth created by government.

  14. No, and this is why....

GREENHOUSE GAS does not exist... Except in a greenhouse.

Another huge scam that scientists have pulled right over the eyes of the blind is the fact that it is a simple matter of density. All gases and any gas could be and would be considered a greenhouse gas by their definition. CO2, Methane and all other gases do not hold, retain or reflect heat or light any more than anything else.

It all comes down to a matter of density and we see it on the news all the time. A high pressure system produces more heat. A low pressure system produces less heat.

The gravitational pull of the Earth makes air more dense closer to Earth and less dense away from Earth, thereby clearly explaining why the temperatures are warmer, closer to the ground.

Higher density, more friction and easier for molecules to convect and radiate heat simply because they are closer together. Ever see a house catch fire simply because it was NEXT to a burning house?

  15. i don't

  16. Yes, I have a pulse and at least a couple of brain cells.

It doesn't take much time on Google to see the lack of science against global warming, the evidence showing it, and to see the special interests funding the false appearance of controversy.  The denial is just like the PR campaign waged for decares by the tobacco industry.  It even involves some of the same people.

  17. If something has to be believed, then it isn't real.

No one believes the speed of light, we can prove it.

Believing, faith is best left for the mystics.

  18. I believe that the globe has its climate changes. The globe gets a little warmer, then a little colder. We may end up in a warmer period, but we'll probably come back down. Back in the 1700s a "Little Ice Age" occurred. Look it up on Wikipedia and you can read up on it.

But the way Global Warming has been talked about makes you think that Global Warming is an effect that will cause the Earth to keep rising and rising until we all cook to death.

I could be wrong though. I should see An Inconvenient Truth. Al Gore got a Nobel Prize after all.
