Do you mean if was Hawaii becoming part of the USA a good or bad thing for native hawaiians?

The easy answer is absolutely and I cite the comparative living conditions of the rest of the world. Consider how Hawaii would have probably ended up had it been under British control, or German. Look at how most of there common wealths, and colonies ended up.

Why don't you ask the Okinawans how they feel about the Japanese occupation.

It might give you some food for thought.  Because if America hadn't invaded, Japan would've.
