  1. My family belongs to a local homeschool group and HSLDA,a nationwide defense of homeschoolers rights organization.

  2. Loving Education At Home - L.E.A.H

  3. As for me, we belong to HSLDA - legal defense,

Two online groups, one local group.

I get all types of different information from all of them.  With the online groups.  We have a daily chat about different topics from different links to what he best way to teach poetry to our kids.

I have a blog also that I add some thoughts that strike me as different that I add to.

With the local group, there are the field trips and being able to see people face to face.  And we don't want to forget the "socialization" of having our kids having friends and a hundred different activities to sign them up for.

  4. I belong to 3 local groups. I don't think we have a national association here in Canada (aside from HSLDA, but I consider that more of a legal thing rather than a homeschooling thing). There's one provincial group, but I've seen no reason to be a part of them. They only seem to do a couple of conventions a year, to which I can't go, and there doesn't seem to be any other reason to be a part of them.

  5. I am a member of the state support group that has conventions, newletters, and online information.

I actually get most support from friends and from online support groups.  The only bad thing about the online groups is that I joined several and the email is more than I can read in a lifetime.  I currently have my yahoo support groups on no email and I read on the websites when I have the time...which is not often.

  6. I like Support 4 Homeschool, its a yahoo group.
