  1. My parents raised me to be a social and political conservative.  However, I grew up to be a liberal, passionate about women's and g*y rights.  By the time I was 30, I was a social and political conservative, just like I was raised.  However, about this time my mother, but not my father, became a liberal and is now fully supporting Barack Obama, is against the war and hates George Bush.  My father has remained the same.  My younger brother is a conservative, and my younger sister does not comment because she is a journalism student in college and is trying to practice what she's being taught.

  2. Different, with similar values. They are all Dem's and I am a Republican. This election many are turning from the dark side of the force and joining us Jedi on the right in the light!

  3. different, waaaay different.

  4. My Dad was an English, Republican atheist.  My Mom was an Irish Catholic Democrat.

I am an atheist Democrat.  My values seem to be a mix of the two.

PS: My parents had intellectual arguments, but they loved each other deeply for all of their lives.  Opposites can and do attract sometimes :)

  5. veryyy different.

  6. Most of the time I don't agree with my Dad in political matters.  It's difficult to live with him sometimes because of it.

  7. My parents were Dems. I am Repub. My mom started her own business and became a Republican. Same values, just the Democrat party of JFK, is not the same as the Democrat Party of O'Bama.

  8. Both my parents are part of the Religious Right.

They hate abortion, g**s, and immigrants.

But they love Jesus and their guns.

They were both raised in calm environments (church), and that's all they've ever known.

I, on the other hand, am one of the most Liberal people out there.

Mainly because I've had the chance to see the world through other people's eyes.

  9. Different but not opposite.

My Father is a moderate Republican, mainly because he wants lower taxes. He hates Bush.

I am a libertarian with a little lefty in me. I am a small business owner and want less govt spending as well as less govt authority. Of course lower taxes are nice, but I'd be happier with a more effective inflation control policy. I am usually in favor of no government with the major exceptions of education and health care. I am very socially liberal, supporting g*y marriage, marijuana legalization, immigration reform and a woman's right to choose.

  10. different ways of looking at the world!!!

  11. My father is a conservative and my mother is moderate.

I'm conservative and I share many similar views as them. We do disagree about some things though.

  12. Same party.... different values.

  13. My mother is a moderate democrat

    my father is an independant

    I'm a liberal

  14. No, I'm an individual.

I don't rely on the traditions, habits, superstitions, or morals of others to shape my lifestyle.
