Because if you do, you are horribly misinformed. It was actually a complete butchery by the mayor and especially the governor...give george a break, he looks like a monkey

  1. Definitely Nagin and Blanco more so than Bush. Barbour did alright though. The problem was no one was expecting this magnitude of a hurricane. Nagin didn't even try to evacuate New Orleans til the morning of. My boyfriend almost stayed behind ... he would've ended up doing armed patrols and rationing food along with the rest of the apartment building if he'd stayed. The police didn't even have enough ammo and supplies to deal with the ones who stayed behind.

  2.       the power of the evil news media(that is most of them)prints a story.most people want to believe its true.it very rarely is.and you are correct.as for me i knew this from day one.the governor and mayor were to blame.what about the police taking off.yet they are still on the job.i mean payroll.this wrong doing and the media keeping the truth from the general public will be the fall of this country.with them if its good news and we can altere it a bit hear and there.who will know the difference.in a time when people dont even have respect for there own family.the truth means nothing.and as a result of it the entire nation will suffer.because truth always catches up to all.

  3. Whilte the federal government could have come to the rescue sooner, the true fault of the disaster really lies with the city of New Orleans itself.

New Orleans is 400 years old, if I'm right (or something like that) and has had centuries to correct and build up its levies.  The city itself compounded this by draining low lying ares, and it didn't help to plant their city near an eroding beachline.

New Orleans may someday have to relocate to higher ground; this is Nature at work, not politics.

  4.   A few years ago, before Katrina, we went to New Orleans for a long weekend.

We went on a bus tour of the surrounding areas. I'll never forget what the tour guide said..."""Louisiana has the best politicians money can buy.""

Notice how the gov declared  a state of emergency IN ADVANCE and how " school bus Nagin": had his act together?

  5. I totally agree.
