I think I just got my period, and I've checked my panties & there's like a puddle of dark red blood. Is that natural? I know I should be asking my mom,but she went on a business trip & there's no way to contact her right now. May I please have some info on Periods, please?

I'm really worried,what should I do????!!??!

  1. Don't worry, just get a pad or tampon, if there are none in the house talk to another adult that you feel comfortable with and ask them to go with you to buy some. If it's your first period I would recommend using a pad as it is likely to be light and short, you only really need tampons when you have a heavy period. The pack should have instructions on how to use the pad/tampon so you don't need to worry about having to ask anyone about that while your Mum's away. When you first get your period it is likely to be irregular and light, it becomes heavier and more regular as you get older. It could be that you wake up tommorrow and you've stopped bleeding all together and you might not get another period for months, it's completely normal so don't worry. Just carry a pad to be prepared.

  2. ok get some pads and when you change a pad clean your self make sure you take a shower everyday and stay clean down there if you still go to school ask your nurse for help

  3. my first period it looked like a war scene..it's usually heavy your first one because it's your bodies' first time getting rid of the blood. don't worry. learn to use tampons..they're great.

  4. yes!  that is normal.  mine was only spotty like that for the first 2 months.  the third month it became heavier.  good luck!  you are fine!

  5. NORMA HAPPEN TO MII
