  1. I've blocked two people because they have me blocked.  That's it for now.  I've thought about blocking someone else who I think is reporting my questions that she doesn't like, but I haven't done it yet.  I don't want to start blocking people out of paranoia like some users (including one of the 2 users who has me blocked apparently from all I've seen from other users) do.

    Do YOU block anybody?

  2. The only time I've ever blocked anyone is if they've blocked me first.  It's a simple matter of convenience.  I see the red circle with the line through so I don't have to waste time clicking on the Q only to get the "you cannot view this question at this time" message.

  3. The only reason I'd block someone is if they're harassing me, otherwise, it's childish and cowardly. And iblockidiots, you do block people because of opinions.

  4. Yes.

I currently have 87 identities blocked, for a wide variety of reasons.

The vast majority were reportniks acquired in my early posing days on R&S where those i suspected of reporting my questions earned a block fairly quickly.

For a while I took offence at people who persistently failed to award best answers, so a few of those got the block to, to save myself the time of writing answers that I wasn't going to be rewarded for, especially in the Science and Maths sectiosn where most of the questions were homework.

A few people I blocked because I knew they were reporting friends on my network, so by blocking them I keep the answers my network give safe from reporters.

I revenge block people who block me.

I also block people who give consistently idiotic and annoying answers.

The biggest single reason is suspected reportniks.

But I haven't blocked anyone in a long time now.

  5. I haven't blocked anyone yet. If you can't handle the heat stay out of the kitchen.

  6. Yep, when they either block me first, have harrassed me, or if they have been nasty to me AND have added me as a contact (I know the only reason they do this is to view my q&a to report, so I block them)

And yea, iblockidiots has blocked me in the past for an opinion he disagreed with and then unblocked me later when he agreed with me.

    But he's still blocked. :-P

  7. Well I only blocked misanthrope because it blocked me first.  I think I'm blocked by that betty jennings person too.  Anyway I decided to block them because they blocked me.  Simple.

  8. I haven't blocked anyone......yet! lol

  9. No, I don't block anyone, I can't be bothered.

For one thing, it's enough of a bother keeping up with all the various avatars and IDs the trolls use, without having to block people as well.

I know many people do block, and as it's a Yahoo feature, it's their right to do so, just as it's my choice not to.

    Cheers :-)

  10. Insults and disrespect.

I don't block based on opinions.

  11. When they send abusive emails - the forum is public - i think emailing abuse is harassment

  12. I'm routinely blocked by little boys who don't like how easily I can make them look foolish.  I block them in return, which means nothing because I don't ask questions (at least not in this forum).

Edit: M. Chevalier, I don't insult or belittle "men."  Reread what I said.  See how many TD's you guys gave me?  That's how I know I'm on track.

  13. occasionally!

  14. No, i never block anyone no matter what the h**l the person is doing.

  15. I block them so they can't report my questions and answers. If there was a way of letting people answer my questions but taking the option to report me away then I'd do that instead. Some feminists try to make out that I block people because I am unable to answer the points they make - LOL!  I haven't seen a single argument put up by the feminists here to prove that modern feminism is simply about equality, and of course the reason that they love to report me whenever possible is because THEY cannot handle the truth http://www.freewebs.com/feminism-evaluat...

    Edit

LOL!  Baba Yaga is a case in point. If you could win arguments with sarcasm she would be the champion, but if you want to win arguments using reason she is totally out of her depth anywhere but a kindergarten.

  16. I can honestly say that I blocked one person the whole entire time that I've been here on answers. And I only blocked that particular user because they blocked me first which is completely childish (on both our behalves) and the user was just being a complete and total @$$. It's one of the trolls who frequent this forum in particular. Other than that, I haven't had to block anyone or had anyone else block me.

  17. You are SO blocked for this! you are my first :-D

  18. No. I don't block anybody.

  19. I ONLY block someone if they block me first. Reciprocal :) If I can't answer your questions. you can't answer mine.

  20. I block people who I feel are responsible for reporting my answers.

I block people who make numerous accounts, answer their own questions and give themselves Best Answers. What is the point in putting thought into their questions if they're cheating?

I block people who block me. I hate that "You cannot view this question at this time", especially when the question looks interesting. I give them the same respect they give me - and block them.

I block iblockidiots and all of his aliases and ladies and gentlemen, he has at least 4, because he blocks everyone who has ever thought differently than him. I occassionaly have answered his questions from my boyfriend's account and he's given me best answers. What a fool.

I have over 30 people blocked, but 24 of them are the same person. Go f*cking figure.

I even had an intense argument with one of the female users here and we STILL don't have each other blocked. Just goes to show how respectful some people can actually be...

  21. I block people who have admitted that they report other people for any reason.

  22. because they are either harrassing you or just so annoying that you have no choice...sadly i had to block and ignore a few people because they just dont get the hint that you just wanna be left alone

  23. nope

  24. No

  25. I don't really block people as its only yahoo answers, it is not my life and if I were to get so worked up about it I would have myself sectioned..its called virtual reality, not reality reality. In real life however, I had a stalker who would text me at all hours of the night, ring me up, send my text replies to him returned but all jumbled up..Then he turned abusive if I would not come out with him and would lie about a panoply of things...I blocked this guy out of my life, certainly. He started monitoring my behaviour  and where I was...But on yahoo answers there is a sense of anonymity so there is no real danger like a stalker possesses. They can be scary and harrassing

  26. I don't block.

  27. I block only those who have blocked me.

Edit: Baba you are so funny with the "little boys" remark nope feminist don't insult or belittle men.

Besides we all no you frequently block more and have no ability to talk sense let alone win a debate. IMHO

  28. Yes I block vampires who suck out your soul.  These are negative people who will step on dead bodies to achieve their goals.  Never having anything nice to say or any empathy, their energy is derived from pure hatred.

Making up for a lacking intellect, they attack.  Their  first "accusation" is you have a tiny brain.  Their emotions/reality are so twisted, they delight in hurting others and sneer at those suffering.  Heck they probably don't even believe in Batman or Catwoman...  :D
