Do you bother to use the thumbs up/down?

Yes. I do actually. I do thumbs up a lot! But I don't usually do thumbs down. I think that people would be more encouraged when they get a thumbs up. I just dont touch the ones that look bad.

I use it whenever somebody has given a quality and relevant answer.

The only time I have ever used the thumbs down is whenever answers have been posted from somebody that is clearly a troll or spammer, or whenever they are being spiteful to other people. Hopefully with a lot of negative ratings of their answers, those sort of people should soon get the message that they are not welcome.

All the time. I asked a question about this recently because i feel that if someone takes the time to answer your question the least the asker can do is rate it. I like to know if my answers have had an effect or not and i'm sure that other people feel the same

I have never used thumbs up/down. It does not even interest me. I am concerned with brilliant questions/answers. Certainly not "Am I pregnant" questions

Yes if the answer is good and thumbs down if the answer is spite full or hurt full to the asker, there is no need to be mean to anyone.

yes i do. i use the thumbs up a lot if i like the answer. if it is a stupid answer it gets a thumbs down.

I use it when I see that someone has already given what i think is a correct answer.  I give them a thumbs up.
