Do you only buy named brand clothes for your baby? (Gap, Gymboree, etc.)?

Or do you buy them whatever is on sale? (Wal Mart, Target, etc.)?

Or a combination of both?

  1. I have bought baby clothes at Wal-mart, had some given to me, and bought some at yard sales.  They grow so fast, so why spend a lot of money on them?

  2. I buy whatever at Walmart...and then I do yard sales and thrift shops. They are in the clothes for such a short time period I can hardly see spending more than a few dollars per item.

  3. I get my kids clothes mostly from Target.  I try to get clothes that are on sale.  I also like to shop the clearance items to get clothes in a size or two up for next year  :)

  4. Normally I buy name brand clothes...Baby Gap, Janie and Jack, Gymboree, Hanna Anderson and tea collection are some of my favorites.  However, I usually buy clothes from those stores when they are on sale.

I do sometimes buy my DD clothes from Target and Kohls...they have some cute things.  I don't really shop at Walmart (there isn't one close by), so not sure of their clothes.

    I have a bit of a shopping problem  : )

My daughter is better dressed than I am.  Oh well...that is the joy of having a little girl!!

  5. I think you should by brand clothes because like if you buy brand clothes then the clothes you buy for your kids its more better than you bye whatever is on sale because i think its better . + once i heard on the news channel 9 KCAL9 NEWS  it showed like this lady bought like sandals and like here foot it was like all like bitten or something its because of that cheap sandal. So I hope you have a great time.

  6. i buy mostly walmart for my 5yr and my 4 month old

but recently started lookin on cheapcycle and craigslist

the baby is goin to outgrow everything within a month and i dont see a point to spending alot of money on something that is wearable that long.

i am a sahm and full time college student and daddy works full time so we have a slightly tight budget especially with everything going up!

  7. I prefer to buy stuff on sale/clearance from Carters, Target, Kohls, BabyGap, etc.  However, my mother works for a department store and gets all the designer name brands stupidly cheap...so my son wears a combo of both.

  8. i havent bought ne clothes for my baby since i was pregnant cuz i wasnt positive on what i was having cuz it was still a chance she culd have been a boy but everything i bought was for girls and i went to walmart, jcpenneys, sears, ross and marshalls, only for the little time that she is going to be wearing her clothes. she barely outgrew her newborn clothing shes almost 6 weeks and 10.3 oz.

but when she gets a lil older when she starts walking and getting bigger than i will take her to the outlet stores that have all the name brand clothing

  9. I buy what is on sale at any store when I am clothes shopping for my children.I don't see the point in buying really expensive clothes for a child who is going to grow out of it in a matter of weeks.I go to Gap,Old Navy, and Walmart.Ummm is that jenny chick for real. Are you just pretending to be dumb or did you think you were being funny or something WOW

  10. I buy stuff that are name brand only if its on sale (: And stuff from Wal-Mart/Target...etc. I buy mostly stuff on sale because they'll outgrow them so fast. (:

  11. i dont have a baby, but when i do...ill probably buy old navy and gap clothes and maybe target

  12. I buy both.  But I also buy a good bit of my son's clothes on ebay.  Kids grow out of their clothes so fast you can buy a "lot" of clothes on ebay for a fraction of the price.  I get a ton of name brand clothes, most never worn with tags still on bc the child grew out of them b4 they had a chance to wear them!!!  Gotta love ebay!

  13. I'm a frequent flyer at JC Penney's children's department. When they run sales, you can get stuff cheaper than you can at Wal-Mart or Target.

Our town recently got a Super Wal-Mart, however, so I have been known to shop there, too.

I browse the sale racks every now and then at Gymboree and Gap, but rarely do I find *good* deals. It seems like sales were better in the past than they are now...I remember my mom getting stuff at Gymboree for my niece a few years ago for 2 or 3 bucks...nowadays, you're lucky to find anything under $8 on the clearance rack.

  14. both. whatever is on sale. babies are expensive enough. now, if its for pictures or an occasion, i usually buy the really cute outfits, which are a bit more pricey.

  15. A little of both. But I haven't really had to buy him much yet. He is spoiled by the grandparents.

  16. a combination of both, but then u think u buy something expensive that is brand name and there only in it for a few weeks as they have already grown out of it

  17. I go to the department stores and look at the sale rack, you'll surprised at the deals you can get.  Who cares if it is name brand or not, if it looks cute then I buy it.  They grow out of them so fast.

  18. A combination, but I really watch how much I spend on one outfit.

  19. a combination of both

  20. We do a combination of both.  Most of his clothes are Carter's or Gymboree (from sales).  The only really expensive stuff our son has worn (Polo, Janie & Jack) were gifts!

  21. Combo of both.  I never buy anything too expensive since in three months it'll be too small. My mom on the other hand doesn't abide by that and goes all out, but oh well, I can't stop her.

  22. SALES!! lol

Old Navy and Baby Gap have great sales! Gymboree is still a little too pricey (like a shirt for $15) I always get complimented on my Daughters clothing, and I usually buy all her clothes for $5-10

  23. A combination of both.

  24. A combination of both, but mostly just what is on sale.  I just love the outfits at Gymboree, but they are so expensive,  I usually buy what's on sale there.

  25. I bought a lot of clothing at "once upon a child" (gently used items) that are name brand. It is very cost affordable and when they have grown out of it, you can sell them back to the company.

  26. Most of what I have bought for Evan has came from ebay with the exception of a few new things here and there. When I did buy something,it was when it was on sale at walmart or target, someplace like that.He got tons of new clothes at my baby shower too so that helped.

  27. I buy a lot of Emma's clothes from yard sales.  That is about the only way she gets baby Gap, gymboree, etc.  I buy a lot of her clothes at the end of the season sale at our local KMart.  They end up selling whole outfits for $3.

  28. a little bit of both, I mainly buy what I think is cute, I mean if it's at a yard sale and its cute, then I buy it... I draw a line with price, I'm not going to buy my son a 50 dollar outfit for him to puke on! If he has to be somewhere where I would like him to be cute, like a family members wedding or something then I might go a little more expensive, but when it comes to everyday things, it's just what I like... and if I do go to baby gap, old navy or stores like that I like to hit the sales rack up first before I think about getting anything else... I also love to go to once upon a child, they have used baby clothes for very cheap, and alot are name brand.

  29. I usually don't buy Gap or Gymboree unless its just so cute and I have to have it lol  I usually buy Carter's for when we go out (they are almost always on sale) and for daycare and play time I get Garanimals from Walmart, because they are cheap and its ok if my daughter ruins them.

  30. I bought what I could afford and that was usually the least expensive brands.  I made sure they were well made and didn't have to worry about the trim coming loose and choking my baby.  Name Brands make you pay more for their name and you can buy quality clothing in an off brand and sometimes you are getting name brand products anyway.  Like Wranglers makes rustlers.

  31. I buy what I feel is the best use of my money. There is a really nice consignment shop near me . They accept only high end baby clothes. I have gotten Baby Gap , Gymboree and Children's Place clothes all with the tags still on them and usually for 6 dollars or less. Some times it's more cost effective for me to go to Kohls or Babies R Us. I also like to buy ahead as best as I can. By doing so, I can get summer clothes on clearance ( around this time), It can be tricky with sizes.

I don't care about the Brand as much as the durability and comfortability but there is a certain amount of satifaction in getting Baby Gap clothes at Wal-Mart prices!
