Do you by make-up based on your skintone or your fave shade?

do u by makeup to go with ur skin/eye color? or do u just pick whatever colors u think are prettiest? and Y?

the different shades of color arent there for you choice of what you like better. there is a variety so that you can pick out the one closest to your skin color (for foundation) and if your pale then thats what bronzer/blush is for. you dont wanna use a shade you like better because your face wont match the color of your neck and then it will look like youre wearing a lot of make up which isnt good. stick with the color recommended for you. and you wanna use a color of eyeshadow to make your eyes stand out. if you have blue/green eyes, then avoid blue/green makeup. you want to enhance your features not make them blend in together

you buy it based on your skin tone and if you need help finding your color you can always go to a beauty supply store and they will match you up with a perfect shade, or if you are in the mall alot, go by jc penny or dillards ( its free)

face make up is skintone. for details like eyelids or other parts, make them match your hair and the clothes you are wearing. this lady put on red gliittering eyelid make up on her eyelids because the outfit she was wearing for a performance was gold, red, and white. she looked really preety

for casual/normal days wear something that make it look natural

Skin tone, hair color and the look you want to achieve.  I've seen women with brown eyes wearing brown eyeshadow and it made their eyes look like they were sunken into their heads. You want to bring out your best features, not hide them.
