Male apes are said to have bone(s) in their genital organ. Male members of Homo sapiens do not have. Is that a forward step ?

BTW, does any other male animal have bones in its genital organ?

  1. Yes, it is evolution.  But, avoid the term "forward step".  Evolution doesn't have a direction.  Directionality is a value we put on processes because we favor certain traits.  Natural selection only favors what helps an organism pass on its genes.

The bone is called a baculum and most mammals have them.  Marsupials, horses, and rabbits don't and they are very reduced in apes.
