  1. Camo for deer, but i usually go with army surplus or something cheap. squirrel pretty much the same thing, anything to break up my outline. most other game, jeans and a khaki coat or vest, depending on the weather.

  2. i always have to be stylin wherever i am .. so yea i care what i look like .. these animals have to be killed by something that looks good haha

na you should not care just the camo is all you need

  3. Lots of orange

  4. I don't care what I look like.

It's what ever I can get my hands on in the time from when I get home from work and get to the field before sunset.

  5. Depends on temperature, terrain, weather forecast and the style of hunting anticipated. Huge difference in stalking or going to a blind or stand.

  6. Depends on what I'm hunting for.

If I'm going upland hunting, I'll just grab a pair of jeans, my boots, and my blaze orange vest.

Deer or something that needs to be stalked, I'll wear some camo.

  7. Yeah you have to buy all that 'junk' from Cabelas.  it helps.  a lot.  cant hunt without it.  well, i guess ladies could wear mini-skirts if they were hunting for guys ;)

  8. Are you kidding, its my one chance to be like my wife and accessorize!!!!!

I usually start our with the best intentions and have two or three different outfits with matching gloves, hats, etc, but by the end of the season, I just put on what ever is comfortable!

For ducks and turkey I go all out!

We had several days around christmas in south Georgia where it was 80+ degrees and raining, I killed two deer in one day wearing Jean shorts, a white t-shirt and a camo rain parka.  I was too hot to wear all the other junk under that PVC parka.

  9. I care, because I often want to break my outline. But nobody's ever threatened to use me as the fashion plate for sales of hunting clothes. It can get pretty ugly sometimes, and mundane at other times. A lot of what I wear wasn't marketed with hunting in mind.

  10. I dont care what I wear as long as theres some bright orange so other hunters can see me.......... You wont catch me with no camo, $2500 gun / scope combo, $35000 4X4 or any other nonsense...... A Ruger rifle, checkered red jacket, $100 set of boots, an orange hat, old binoculars I bought at a garage sale, my 20 year old Jeep and thats it....

  11. i don't wear cam mo and i do very well just don't wear fluro clothing, when i go fox hunting i just lean up against a tree and whistle them in,just don't do sudden movements shaded clothing will help you they only see black and white anyhow. But if you wanna go 4 humens go the cam mo so then they don't see you pointing a gun at them but only shoot them if you like to eat them lol

  12. Sometimes I put on my German Army surplus Flecktarn camo and other times I might just be in my boxers and flip flops.

  13. Well, I am so tight I can sit on a lump of coal and turn it into a diamond in minutes. Soooo.... I use what I have and replace hunting gear when I can no longer repair it or get by with it.

I don't mind someone that is just starting out hunting and has new gear. But when someone shows up with Wood Duck calls an all kinds of ancillary gear and survival stuff that they cant make it into the woods, then I go the other way.

I like toys also but you will never retire if you buy all the toys now and later, you'll find out you didn't really want the toys anyhow.

  14. Depends on functionality depending on the method of hunting (tree stand, ground blind, stalking) For hunting birds or rabbits I need a game vest to hold shotgun shells and birds or rabbits so I have a game vest and for turkey season a turkey vest is nice to hold different calls, shells, collapsible decoys and what not when going out to hunt.

For deer season I stay up to date on clothing and scent control and whatnot and make sure what I have is comfortable, quiet, and warm. I have new high quality camo shirts, pants, masks, jackets, gloves but I'm not spending $120 for a scent blocker shirt when I can use their products cheaper. I can tell you that good scent control products work excellent and I like to match camo color and pattern to wear I'm hunting (woods or field). It definately makes a difference on an elusive buck or coyote.
