Or, perhaps, you're just addicted?

  1. To laugh & say what I wouldn't to someone's face.

  2. I come here because I get kicks from logically refuting weak and baseless arguments.

  3. All four.

  4. In trying to find some answers, sometimes I have been provacative.  Humans feel and I was trying to get some to feel.  The below contains emotions that might lead to slight exaggeration, etc.  I am not perfect and do not pretend to be.  Kindly forgive me for being human and having feelings.

At first I wanted to how how they thought and why so much unfairness/hate.  Answers were disrepectful, I was ganged up on and my questions/statements refuted with venom.

Then I wanted to change some minds to be more equal.  Again I was, disrespected, ganged up on and and told to shut up.

Now I am just a witness to the Gendercide that has/is happening.  I'm also addicted...krikey.

  5. i cam here because i have something to teach and something to learn.  I'm not addicted, but i can see how that could happen.

  6. Reason #2, to find out how the opposition thinks.

  7. I come here because it's interesting at times.

  8. 1.  What is Yahoo! Answers:

Yahoo! Answers is a network designed for people who have questions to recieve answers, sometimes as diverse as the people who post them.

    2. What are the categories?

Well, Yahoo! Answers has an organization system for these questions so that people can find the topic they know most about in order to give people the best answer there is.

    3. Why do you come to GWS?

Well, I come to the Gender and Women's Studies category to answer questions because as a political feminist and scholar of women's history, I know a fair bit about Gender and Women's Studies.

So I try to utilize my knowledge to answer questions that other people might have regarding the topic.

Isn't that what Yahoo! Answers is for?

  9. I am here to give people facts about the feminist movement. If I wanted to make friends I would tell lies about the feminist movement i.e. I would say how wonderful it is.

  10. I come and read your questions and answers because I know it is an ideal remedy to my insomnia.

  11. When I first came in, I was here to have my beliefs confirmed, as I was a feminist and believed in everything I had been taught.  I was smart enough to minor and not major in it...and the bullshit that was spewed by those in my minor was unbelievable (looking back).  I find it hard to believe that an entire academic "discipline" can be fuelled by the hatred that is feminism.  It took about 3 months being in here to be un-brainwashed and to really see the ridiculousness of a movement that is, 1) outdated; 2) irrelevant; 3) extremely anti-male.  I don't know how many times the politically active, experienced men in here have to point out the flaws in feminist "logic" and how they have been affected before feminists listen--perhaps there is some kind of ADD or filter in their brains--but it is really irritating how truly blockheaded some people are.  Bottom line, I'm here to learn from all sides, but I have heard the feminist side and largely dismiss it.  I am very interested in what men have to say now, and feel I have a better understanding of how men are feeling these days.  I'm not addicted...at one time, perhaps I was, but now, I come in now and then to see if anything interesting is going on, but I do read a lot of the responses without necessarily adding my 2 cents.

  12. I like to see questions that people come up with, see what others' opinions are, and answer Qs.

  13. Or to test the icy waters before swimming at night by the beautiful light of the moon.

  14. I have come here primarily to understand how the "opposition" thinks.

In the process of gaining greater "insight" I may also need to justify my beliefs and I hope that it's reciprocated

  15. Well, when a woman tells women that they are human-beings and can be all they can be without the title of Feminism; that's not exaclty an invitation to the Feminist Ball.

Edit Lunatic: Oh you and your Silver Moon songs.  Oh all right.  By the light of the sivery moon I want to spoon. To my honey I'll croone loves tune......

Back to my answer; when people usually join a movement, and or get involved in a gang; the reason is because something is missing; granted some things are good and others not so good. Personally I see no strength and all you can be attitude with feminism.  So, why am I here?  I find that a lot of the questions spark one to research, thus moving their minds to new ideas and knowledge.
