one viswahindu parishad leader lakshmananada was murdered by Maoists and Christian missionaries who run schools and prayer houses for the poor have no role in it. but the Hindu fascist brigade attacked prayer houses and villages and hamlets with a Christian majority in orissa. thousands of Christians fled from their houses.

I am saddened by this, but also it is to be expected. It is foretold in the Bible that Christians will be persecuted before the tribulation. Everything is falling into place as God has instructed those to write about in His Word. This will be a blessing because it will open the eyes of many non-believers to the truth. If you notice, those who have served Gods plan to the fullest degree, have been persecuted to the worst degree. God never suggested leading the Christian life would be easy. In fact, it is just the opposite according to Him. He does promise his people and those who believe and serve Him, (key word being serve) a place in Heaven. I realize it is highly possible I will die for my belief in God. I am preparing myself daily by asking for strength, wisdom, love and discernment when I pray. Yes, I certainly do.

It wouldn't hurt to bring in some temporary martial law. The only language such crazed up people seem to understand is the bark of a machine gun. From this to doctors letting an untouchable die last month while having a faulty birth and the legendary attacks on upstart Muslims, the Indian government has a lot of work to do with race and cultural relations.

I read about this in a British newspaper on 26 August 2008. Page 18 had the heading, "Nun killed as mob attacks orphanage".  It said:

"A nun has been killed and a priest seriously injured after Hindu hardliners set fire to an orphanage run by Chriistian missionaries. The attack occurred in the village of Khuntapali, in India's Orissa state, during protests against the murder of a Hindu religious leader on Saturday.

Police say tensions between the two groups have been growing in recent weeks, with some Hindu groups accusing the missionaries of bribing villagers to convert to Christianity. Although India's constitution is secular, 84 per cent of its 1.2 billion population is Hindu. Around 2.5 per cent of Indians are Christians."

The false charge of Christians bribing others to convert is commonly used amongst poor and uneducated people who believe anything they are told by their leaders. It is also likely that the Christians were accused of the murder of the Hindu leader. You would need to follow this story up in the courts to find out what is discovered. It is appalling.
