  1. No. It ignites at a different temperature and would r****d the timing of your engine, leaving you with worse fuel mileage and lower power.


  2. No. I am going with natural gas (methane) as an alternative fuel. Cars that run on it already exist and I own two of them, made by Ford in 1999 and 2000 (not new technology, obviously). They are way cheaper to run and cleaner than gasoline powered vehicles. The only drawback is not all states have places to refuel them yet, but that's just a matter of getting your local officials to provide incentives for your gas company or service stations to install pumps. I'm hoping many more of these cars will be made in the future, and that natural gas as a vehicle fuel will catch on. I love driving my cars down the road, knowing I am not burning one drop of foreign oil, and I'm saving bucketloads of money, too.
